Blimey , massive four car crash right outside our house - Clapham Road - chaos, can’t believe the amount of pedestrians …. and quite a few cyclists , who were determined to get past anyway possible ….. while drivers and passengers still in smoking vehicles screaming ! Wow …..
Looks like everyone is ok though - at least two drivers off in Ambulances …

Friends of Herne Hill we’re doing a collection of cycling togs to then hold a bike clothing jumble at the track , but can’t remember when and deleted the messages !

Ha , they are great … and … both bonkers …. I worked for Rej for awhile , had a few rides with him - with lots of fag stops - and sold him a frame when his BMC got sawn through ! I really like it when they do the Tour - can’t understand any of it but it’s great - sounds very Flandrian

Hats off to you , enjoyed it but maybe with the less numbers it could have started a tad later …. giving a bit more time for all the folk who ride out to spectate from London Town …. spoke to one regular local cycling supporter who hasn’t missed a Catford for something like twenty years …. he turned up as the results were being compiled on the board …. ! He wasn’t happy !

I like watching / listening to the SC4 programmes as a friend , Reinald Ap Gwyned did some of the commentary …. him and his brother Pedraig ( ? ) are both big cyclists …. just a shame they are also musicians ! Great to listen to when they have a kick off argument in Welsh with lots of swearing thrown in …

It’s great the London 3 day is on you tube live … but .. Alex Dowsetts wheels are goping !

Ha ! … may have dropped by the pub on the way back from my lovely ride in the park …. Regents defo pulls more the “ straightouttaevans “ aero Canyon / Cervelo/SWorks bro crowd … all taking it a bit too seriously for their own good- ( which does lead to them riding around not giving a monkeys about any one else - red light jumping etc or just North Londoners ! ). …. You’re riding around a park … in a massive concrete city … be grateful we have all of them … ( even if they’re all full of tossers ! )

Fuck off … ! I’ve just had a lovely couple of hours riding round the park - beautiful - leaves turning , deer out - well , for a couple of weeks before the Cull - not much traffic … before rush hour when it’s just a rat run full of SUV’s and mopeds blasting it around ….. it was cracking and as a South Londoner I’m chuffed we have somewhere so nice to ride - away from the SUV’s and mopeds. …… oh ..
plus … I wasn’t doing any high speed stuff !

Track champs on the BBC ….. those Japanese bikes look well odd - even weirder version of the Hope / Lotus …. and the cranks on the wrong side , even more weirder !

Harry in first was fast though - second on York’s Hill …. just a shame not so many regular / old fast lot entered though …

Nice - but fucking freezing - day out to watch the Catford York’s Hill and Becc’s White Lane double ….. couple of tough climbs , great to see a lot of youngsters riding - mainly thanks to Team Cyclopark who brought a bus load …some were super fast - hats off to them …. but both rides said they were down on entrant numbers - like half …. what a shame , especially the York’s Hill ride - the longest established race …. ever !
Hope it was circumstances / a blip … such a great bonkers British thing … ride out to the hills in the freezing cold to watch a load of nutters ( extremely fit nutters - some serious legs on show ) ride up steep hills for two minutes …

Quebec - I like these French Canadian races ... good courses , climbs and the need to press all the way round the circuit
