you wanna help me with an experiment? I thought it might be nice to get a tape recorder and record what the police say when we go and draw pictures of them, you know court artist style. The tape and pictures should give a reasonable account of events, despite not being able to take photographic evidence.
The legislation doesn't specifically target photography, it covers "eliciting, publishing or communicating information" so could theoretically cover drawings as much as anything else. Having said that, it's only an offence if they can prove that the information is "likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism" and proving you had a reasonable excuse for collecting the information is a defence.
Of course that's not the real issue, the chances of a court convicting anyone for photographing the police in a situation like this seem remote at best, rather it's the concern that the police will abuse the legislation to harass and arrest photographers, even if no charges are ever brought.

I always want to cut through Finsbury park on my way home but the darkness puts me off. This has definately made me think I make the right decision..
I often go through at night and haven't had any problems yet. I suspect the fact that it's completely unlit actually deters local ne'er-do-wells from hanging around.
I was briefly confused this evening by two white flashing lights weaving across the road in front of me, but they turned out to be attached to dogs. -

Ok, some more details and photos...
58cm frame - Reynolds 501
700c wheels - Weinmann rims - Maillard hubs
Shimano 105 cranks and dérailleurs
Weinmann brakes and levers
The brake mountings are the recessed allen type which should make it easy to add newer brakes. The frame's in decent condition, I haven't noticed any dents or cracks. There are a few chips and scratches, as you'd expect, and a few small areas of rust mainly on the top tube. I've shown the worst areas in the photos.
There's a bit of movement in the cranks so the bottom bracket might need replacing.
One of the pedals is damaged and they're designed for use with clips.
The saddle is falling apart.
The wheels aren't too bad but probably need truing at the least.
The whole bike's pretty filthy, I rode it over last winter and never quite got around to cleaning it.I've also put up a couple more photos and larger versions of the above.
You're welcome to take just the frame or the whole lot.

I've got a mid 80s Raleigh road bike that needs a new home. It's nothing special, Reynolds 501 frame, 105 cranks and derailleurs from memory. Assuming it's going to someone who's going to make good use of it (ie. not sticking it on ebay to make a quick £50) I'm not too bothered about the money. Pay whatever you think's fair.
I doubt it's any better than the other frame, but if you're interested let me know and I'll put up a few photos/details this evening.
Hi,
I'm looking for a front wheel. Ideally something solid and vaguely decent like an open pro, but anything considered. Preferably silver hub/spokes/rim.
I really should have known better than to leave it unlocked. If anyone happens to come across a Suntour Superbe Pro hub laced to a Mavic Open S.U.P CD rim, it may well be mine. I can't imagine whoever pinched it will get much for it.
