I buy stuff from Japan auctions and use a forwarding agent that allows my to write my own custom labels should I want to. They are very clear - the onus is on me as I am making the declaration of value. If the parcel gets lost I am only covered for the value on the label. Same applies to you if you mark it down. If it gets lost you might be out of pocket.

Normally the lining of Stows is fairly soft tan coloured leather of some description. I've seen special order Stows that have coloured linings, purple and so on, and they don't seem as soft although I've never worn a pair.
It almost sounds as if they are a bit big? The uppers don't normally need much breaking in whereas the soles, especially the leather one, can remain stiff for a good while.

On the subject of monkey boots. I have no idea where the name came from but the old Czech army boots were popular in the 70s and 80s worn by skinheads and alternative types. You can still buy them but I can't remember the last time I saw anyone wearing them. They were really cheap too. Something like a tenner in the late 80s and lasted a fair while.

The Trickers leather soles take a while to soften up but are very comfy after a few months of wear. The are more comfy to walk in than the Dainite sole which although hard wearing isn't especially grippy . The commando sole wears out quite quickly and drags mud in everywhere. The heal on the leather soles doesn't last too long either. All have pros and cons.

Gel wrappers litter the countryside. They are everywhere. I see a few every ride. I don't know what goes through people's heads. I have a similar problem understanding the mentality of the dog walker who goes through the effort to collect their dog's shit in a plastic bag and then thinks it acceptable to tie it to a tree or throw it into the bushes. Psychologists help me understand what that is all about please.
Hanging's not good enough for them I say.....

I can go weigh it if you want although it's not especially light compared to modern components.
As for the frame steel. I can't say as I don't know. The frame has been well built with attention to detail, geometry, Zeus pista dropouts, track specific fork crown, wraparound seat stays. There is a frame number so whoever buys it can do the research as I found out nothing.

Need to find room for the kid's bikes as they are getting bigger and unfortunately this has to go as it isn't getting ridden: £475

Frame: Henry Burton 54cm (54 c-c top tube x 54 c-c seat tube) track frame un-drilled frame and forks. I contacted Henry Burton but they don't have any records on their frames so didn't find out anything. The frame has no dents or dings but has usual wear and tear. The decals are starting to go as they weren't under the clear coat. The geo is quite aggressive/twitchy handling and you won't find clearance for more than a 23mm tyre on the front but up to a 28mm on the back. No idea what tubing but there's an 'ironic' 531 awesome sticker on there which I stuck on for giggles.
Spec:
Wheelset, 28 hole Campagnolo Record hubs laces to Mavic Open4CD. Hubs were rebuilt with new axles/bearings/cups and brass washers used on spoke eyelets and rims were NOS.
Tyres: Vittora Rubino Pro 23mm
Headset: Campagnolo 90s era Athena or Chorus. I can't tell which
Stem: Nitto Jaguar 90 NJS
Drops: Nitto B123 steel 40cm NJS
Seatpost: Campagnolo C-Record 'non-aero' Seatpost
Seat: Supercorsa suede
Crankset: Campagnolo Record
Chainring: Sugino
Bottom Bracket: Phil Wood. (Chainline is perfect and drivetrain near silent)
Pedals: MKS Royal Nuevo NJS (some road rash), MKS steel clips, MKS Alpha double straps NJSI feel like I've missed something out.....but I guess that covers it.
I can post but I'd really rather not post as I've had too much stuff get broken in transit.
Otherwise collection from Northampton and I am can drop it off at either Northampton or Rugby train stations. Bikes do not need to be booked on the Northampton line if travelling to London or Birmingham.

If you want chunky then you might think about some of the workwear orientated brands, Whites, Wesco maybe Viberg (overpriced) or maybe Lonewolf (Japan). There are few other brands check the denim forums for obsessive discussions on style/brand merit. Your choices for trying them on in the UK is limited though. Most, except Viberg (overpriced) come in cheaper than Trickers, Alden' etc... The Trickers logger is not an especially chunky boot btw and is a lot lighter in weight than the equivalent brogue.
Alls well thanks! I’ll drop you a pm.
