Evening all,
My pedalling partner is travelling from Deutschland on Tuesday to spend a week in the Big Smoke and I need to source him some wheels. Public transport is a no go - we've taken a train together once and our bikes were in the same carriage.
Does anyone have a spare fixie I can borrow? Or know of somewhere I can procure one for cheap? I can offer cake, cans or coins as well as my eternal gratitude. He's 6'3" and a very careful road user...
Danke!

To (kind of) show the clearances with a 700C wheel:
Seat tube cc: 53cm
Top tube cc: 56 cm
Rear dropout: 130mm
Seatpost: 26.8mm£150 ono
In Dalston
Started life as a Fuji road bike belonging to my non sportif father, hence barely ridden. Back triangle has been expertly replaced by Superted for tighter clearances, track dropouts and filled in rear brake hole. Powder coated by Armourtex in turquoise with a metallic lacquer, still in tip top condition. Superficial grazing on drive side stays and bottom bracket. Hand painted lugs, fading off in parts though as I thought enamel would stay on the lacquer. I could top it up if you so desire.
Stronglight headset in good condition. Black and basic. Does the job and does it quietly.
Forks not included as I bought them separately to replace the long-brake-needing original forks and want to keep 'em.

Also, brand new 32H Miche Primato small flange front hub: £20.

Greetings,
Small problem I hope someone can help me with: myself and a few wheel-minded friends are planning a trip from our fair city to gay Paris. We have the route (thanks to a previous number of forumungers) but are lacking on bikes. There was brief talk of doing it fixed but that got laughed off pretty soon. So does anyone know a place we can rent some geared transport from for 5 days? Or else, does anyone trust us with theirs? (Maybe an our-fixed-for-your-geared scenario...)

Myself and a few wheel minded friends are embarking on the London to Paris trek in August in aid of an as yet undecided charity. I've trawled the forum and we have our route but a serious clerical error has left us with nothing to ride. I only own one bike and I refuse to do it fixed as I'll be mighty cranky by the end, pun intended. Does anyone know where can we get geared up for 5 days at minimum financial loss?
Merci beaucoup en advance
