Can second inov8. I got a pair of hand me downs from a friend who fell runs in Scotland and they're still going, so I think they're lasting pretty well! Lightweight and comfy, good grip. I'm not sure, but I think Merrell possibly do some vegan shoes too? My other half has had a pair of Merrells for about 20 years and only had to replace them because the sole had worn down, they're otherwise still good!

Yeah it's pretty wild it used to be a lake. That big flood in 1894 😬😬 The pump station failing would have been catastrophic.

It is pretty wild here right now, but we are lucky in Vancouver that we're mostly free from flooding. We're cut off from the interior, and the floods are not far away but we're safe and sound. Still drying my wet boots from having to take my bike through a 30cm deep flood on the cycleway to school the other day, but that's pretty minimal compare to the rest of the lower mainland! Weird what happens when you drain a huge lake and build on it....

I'm not sure how they work media blackouts in the UK, I know it used to be games that clashed with premier player, but if they don't have it any more who knows? https://nhllive.com/en/api-status/blackout looks like you can look up which games you can get in your region here, but they haven't updated it yet 😅 I think you also get access to previous games on NHL.tv which is a bonus.

😭 Vancouver is a bit of a detour! Congrats on the Masters! So much good coffee in town though 😍 I'm also gonna have the longest commute I've had for about 5 years when I start uni in September. Haven't actually ridden my bike on a commute for a few years 😅 got really into walking.

Cult Espresso (food is really good here too), Cairngorm Coffee, Brew Lab. Can also recommend Lowdown, Machina and Artisan Roast. So much good coffee in Edinburgh!

It's amazing, and the pizza's are huge! Especially like the white base mushroom one. But the BBQ chicken is killer too.

I have some friends who live on the outskirts, towards the bypass. It's obviously a little further out but not really a big deal if you have a bike, and I've never struggled to get to them on the bus from town. Huge bonus is that they see the mountains from their kitchen window, and just have to walk a few minutes to get into the Pentlands! It's pretty amazing. Happy to put you in touch with them if you wanted, they moved from London probably 8-10 years ago?
