A bicycle bought in superb condition for a conversion project but a changing of plans with an imminent house move means I must sell this. Frame is scratch free.
I think its all standard specification - even the tyres. I started to remove the stickers but that is all.I will also throw in a longer quill stem and a new steel 1 inch headset.
Bicycle is located in Jn8 M25 Surrey. Nearest mainline is Redhill station.
Which is 1/2 an hour from London by train. Thanks

your ability to put on a turn of speed can be improved at the gymn using something like a leg press exercise or squats with weights. basically trying to increase muscle strength and build muscle in your legs.
stamina is best improved through something called interval training which is best combined with an HRM for optimum HR.alternatively just ride your bike a lot more somewhere hilly!

yup, have a pair of kona p2 forks. Black, with disc mounts. used.
And a pair of brand new unmounted, chrome BMX style forks for 26" wheel. Pretty rare, dont know where they are from. 100% Chromoly. With canti mounts.
£20ish each? not based in London, but can bring em on saturday if you are definitely interested.
careful on your fork choice. the original forks on a GT Peace are unusually long at 470mm axle-to-crown. at this length the bike runs a teensy bit unresponsive but i've also run rigid 445mm forks on it (and 100mm RS Toras suspension) and it runs great. Any shorter - will cock up the ride.
can't comment too much on BB and cranks. I've run sq. taper with no problems for years. I've also had little complaint with ISIS (maybe I'm a light rider?) for the year I ran them. I haven't gone to external BBs yet but i've heard mud and dirt ingress can be a problem on these.

i'm also looking into OTP and have contemplated a self build.
although my patience for a self build may be lacking.the bikes i've considered and are:
SE Lager - £335 but has a BMX bb and currently none available in my size.
Charge Plug - £320 (i can get a discount on this one) but smallest is 56cm (which just looks too big for a 5ft 6in me)
Specialized Langster - £320 (i can get a discount on this one too) - wanted a steel bike but still weighing this one up. Not sure about the "London" look but it *might *grow on me.
Giant Bowery - £270 (i can get another discount on this one too) - heard it's heavy for an alloy framed bike and a lot of the parts look a bit gash.
Fuji Track - £315ish - haven't read a bad word about these bikes but will need to factor in some brakes.decisions eh? anyway, if you're doing it through the cycle2work scheme its not really going to cost you £400 so be happy knowing if you make a mistake - you can rectify it the following year :)
Found this review which might help your decision.
