You don't need to drive a snowcat to shape the Vans park, most of the park staff work on it by hand. And speaking German isnt essential, either - there's all kind of nationalities who work on it

@ CrazyJames Not sure why you'd suggest being a shaper unless you could ride the park really really well? and speak German? and drive a snowcat? Good job if you can tho...the bar at the bottom of the park does a mean beer and pizza too.

check out pleisure holidays, guy called pete, runs a sweet little bar/snowboard lodgings in courchevel 1550 really nice bloke looks after his staff well.

I used to work for them and they're a great company to work for. Everyone rides and is all about getting time on the hill.

Bar jobs are too social if you want riding time, you won't get first tracks very often if you finish work at 4am every night (which you will)

They might have some jobs left check the website and drop them a line.

Be prepared to work your balls off and snowboard whilst still drunk from the night before (that's after getting up at 7am to start work) HAPPY DAYS

My 08 Bowery will be for sale about this time next month. Completely stock and done a load of miles but plenty of life left. It's a Large (about 58-ish i think)

Hubs are Formula TH-50's...er...the same as on the missus' Charge Plug, i think? Haven't ridden with expensive hubs but these do the job very nicely

here's an idea if you want to ride singlespeed without buying another bike...put it into 44-16 and don't change gear?

The only thing to remember when riding fixed is just keep pedalling, yes it really is that simple. As soon as you forget this, your legs will quickly realise what's going on!

This is a track frame so it will feel a bit 'tighter' - the back wheel is tucked right under your bum giving you better acceleration, the steering angle is steeper meaning it will be more responsive.

the hub is a flip flop but there isn't anything on the other side - i assume you could put another sprocket on to change your gearing easily?

This bike is in perfect working order, however the paint work on the frame has quite a few cosmetic chips on it. There are NO DINGS just chipped paintwork. This isn't a hipster clown bike, i ride it everyday come (not too heavy) rain or shine.

Annoyingly this morning i managed to break a spoke in the rear wheel. I trued the wheel back and it runs fine but will need to be fixed at some point
