I have a female specific saddle and it changed my life! However I don't think those holey bits do anything, its all about the width of your seat bones (and firmness, I think the harder the more comfortable, personally). I thought I may have quite large seat bones because I'm tall but it turned out they're not, you just never know I suppose!....I think if you are anywhere near sitting on the more delicate areas :) and already have a female specific saddle that you've had fitted, then you maybe need to look at other areas of your bike that aren't perhaps fitting you right in other ways. I found playing around more with the length of the stem and handle bars to be far more critical, as it allowed me to roll back and sit on my seat bones rather that stretching too far forward and then being uncomfortable. They seemed like minute changes, but made a huge difference.

Hello,
just a quick message to say, really enjoyed reading all your write ups and especially mdx's film, it looks like I remember it. Anyway, will definitely be doing it again next year, hopefully being a little more fit and able to converse...its funny seeing faces from the photos that you saw in person, its a bit like seeing famous people....or those people you see on the bus the whole time and suddenly see them somewhere else and don't know if you know them or not.
Anyway, hopefully it will be as splendid next year! -

Tried to message you, but bloody thing says I don't have the right priviliges to send you a message...ahhhhhhh computers!!!Will try again later and hopefully it will work, this website for some reason makes my computer want to crash, I may have dropped it just a few to many times!
...also, I have been under the illusion that marmets/marmots were more like ferrets, those wood chuck beasties look like they not only chuck chop wood it looks like they bloody eat too. High corumber! -

@50/14 - thanks those could be good, I'm wandsworth way. Kind of have a few...in theory to choose from...Brixton, Dulwich etc, but willing to travel to find one I like. Thanks for you help.

@rpm, enjoy those hills + thanks for the recomendation! I confess I have gears...mmm I like my gears...I'm going to Devon this weekend, so hope to do a nice long ride on the Saturday, I'm sure it will probably rain! no room for fair weather riders there!wet socks!
-
ah ok, the only thing it seems with the Saturday rides, is that they are often only about 30-35 miles and I'm looking for rides over 50 preferably. I will take a look at that one, hopefully they do longer ones too...I must say though after doing 2 weekends in a row of Rp, I wanted to slit my throat, it is mind numbingly boring, last time we ended up bowing out after 3 laps and went an explored instead. Exploring is fun!...especially when you find nice pubs for mid way refreshments!
-
cool, thankyou i'll take a look. For the past few weekends I've been doing laps at Rp, the most girls I counted was 7. I looked at Rollapaluza too, they seem really relaxed, but I wander how hard core their club rides are...its always pretty hard to tell, guess I just need to bite the bullet and go along! ahhhhh

Hello all,I am a girl who would very much appreciate some advice on cycling clubs please please please... I have been umming and erring about joining various clubs for a while now but unfortunately keep being put off (or maybe I'm a whimp!) I have contacted 3 different ones, and all of them have about minus other females. I'm really keen to put some long rides in etc, however I'm not fit enough at the moment to go at an average speed of 100mph for 700 miles. Does anyone have any recomendations? I don't mind cycling with men, its just my fear is that they will want to go faster and drill each other into the ground! I don't fancy this!Anyone got any ideas?Thankyou so much,Marmet.
Hello, do you still have the Bromwich please? It could be just what I'm looking for... Many thanks.
