so doing my dream trip / ride this summer. Tokyo to Kyoto.
Wondering if anybody can give me any heads up on how to approach this.
Like has anyone done it before (except that bike movie we have all seen)?
Should I get a bike in Tokyo or bring with me? Don't mind buying a new one but will be traveling to indonesia afterwards so don't want anything bling. Was thinking of maybe bringing a beater and leave/sell after the ride.
All the rides I seem to find is north of mount fuji but I want to go via Kamakura and Enoshima (south of Mt Fuji). Anyone know about that route? Wouldn't mind combining some train / bike action rather than doing bike only..
Anyone has any connection on whom to talk to over there?

got a pair of 700c 36 hole silver maillard hubs on silver mavic rims (FB 190).
Fixed / fixed. Comes with sprocket and lockring. Preetty much ready to roll straight away.

yeah pedals look brand new. almost. so yeah good condition. think i only used for a very short time.

fixieplay - yup you're right un54 are plastic. these i realize are un52 with metallic cup.
hanged up - so yeah they are un52 metallic cups. 110mm when i measured.

Yuo. Me to on mine but this one might not be un54 then. will have a closer looksy tonight.

hanged up - i don't think it is plastic actually. will have a look. vaguely remembering it as being metall. which would be weird since they are normally always plastic...
sporerider - think one might be 3/32. nnot sure though. unknown make. all leftovers from previous beuilds...

Oups fair point missed that. mudgards £15. a bit on the diryt side since they were white originally.

FMB - they attach on the forks and on the back triangle. (not the chaonstay the other one...) attach them normally with this kinda orignal plastic part which i don't have but i have been using regular cable ties. and works sweet, even bettter cause they hold the down solid.
hanged up - will do tonight. think it's a standard 107 or something.

tdub - 13t sprocket is unknown make. came of a hi flange campy record hubs. so that's all i know really.

winged angel & knowthejo - nope not nos. but in good condition.

Got a no name lo flange hub on a rigida rim. all black with qr realease. works fine if you are after something quicka and cheap and all black. £35.
