I feel dreadful for asking, especially seeing as I haven't been around for a while (I've had a lot going on and you can pm me about that).
I am currently volunteering offering support to refugees in Greece. I have found myself rather restricted due to finances (spent £200 on plane ticket here and 900euros to rent the most rudimentary accommodation I could find for starters!) I don't drive and the camp I was working at (the reason for choice of accommodation) has shutdown because of the Euro turkey deal. Meaning I may have to go elsewhere on the Island which is going to be difficult logistically & financially! I may also have to go to the mainland as all the refugees are being taken away.
I am so sorry for asking (virtual chugging how could I!) - but this is direct humanitarian action, where any penny you throw my way resulting in me being able to do something out here, no middle men or ceo's. If your into it, feel free to donate. If not then fine too. Just consider this a hello as I've not posted for so long ;-)

in a rush to help find a bike, something new from a cycle to work participating retailer. Up to £1000 for the marked price but cheaper bikes considered.
Small-Average height female. 5'3" (I think)
The Smallest Whyte Devon (47) fits.If it includes mudguards that is a nice bonus. We do expect disc brakes. Looking at Whyte Devon so far which has TRP HyRd's. But cable ones would do. Not sure about BB7's because they require too much regular fiddling.

My ableton updated and deactivated itself. #cries
Before you go looking down on me for not having a purchased version. I just wanted to have the same daw on my pc as mac. I already have logic, but I cant get a Mac OS to run on my PC laptop even with a VM. Very frustrating as id just started to get to grips with it.
In other news I just received my AKAI mpkmini2. Its great, much more fun than expected. Although the keys are very stiff.

I ate that adorable nipple adorned fruit this morning with my breakfast. I plonked a bit into my mouth carelessly with whatever else I was eating completely not thinking about the tomato.
I think I may have cried a tear of joy, and Im not even joking. Its not even been sunny for months, but it tasted so IMMENSE.

The guy was just being a prick. He was a judge of a poorly organised contest being held within a public skatepark. The public still had full right of way in the park, which is how the judge saw it too. This craig chap just went on a power trip smashing everyone out of the way. Really surprised the British guy never reacted more severely to being hit in the neck.
Weird side story: The team holding the contest (including that judge) brought a bunch of spray cans for some reason to their contest. The kids taking park took them and vandalised the whole park.
A whole lot of fail.

Home grown tomatoes will stay fine for a surprisingly long time. I have left tomatoes on the plant until the whole plant itself has rotted away in winter (mostly out of laziness), but the tomato has slowly reddened and been firm/edible all that time later.
Dont forget green tomatoes can also be delicious too, especially cooked.

Many a year ago, I recall a thread/discussion on lfgss led by an old chap who was like the British equivalent of Gary Fisher, a pioneer of British off road riding before mountain bikes existed and they were using 27inch wheeled bikes.
Anyhow, this chap had made some of his own pedals which had an offset design. As in, the pedal was offset from the point it attached to the crank arm. There was some discussion where he explained how it was more biomechanically optimal.
Does anyone have any recollection of what I am speaking of?
( and a hello to anyone who remembers me )
