WHEELS NOW GONE! THANKS
A rather worn pair of road/cross wheels - Specialized 32 hole hubs and Alex ACE19 rims, Shimano 9/10 spd fitting.
Bearings are pretty grindy, rims a bit out, though I have trued them up slightly. Might be of interest for a beater or cycling inspired sculpture...
Thought I'd check before I chuck them out.Pick up from Peckham please. PM me if you want them.

Just bought David Millar's autobiography.
http://inrng.com/2011/06/book-review-racing-through-the-dark-david-millar/What's Millar's book like? I bet there's a nice endorsement quote from Lance on the back!

I'm in Chadwick Road and know the guy who owns 'On Time Pizza'.
He tells me that the chap who's renting it from him (to start the bike shop) already has one shop up in Norf London and this is his 'branching out' venture. Apparently he makes 'custom' bikes in the way of lowriders/choppers etc. so it may not suit everyone's taste.
According to the leaflet he put through our door though he 'will not be beaten on service', and promises to supply all normal spares etc. so it may prove pretty useful, specially if he knows how to build/mend frames proper. I'm all for a really local LBS. -

**2008 Kona Paddy Wagon Track Frame and Forks **
Dedacciai steel tubing
Powdercoated matt black (armourtex)
Seat tube measures 56cm BB to top, 51cm BB to centre of top tube (due to ramped geometry). Top tube measures 55cm centre to centre. Downtube measures 63cm centre to centre. Forks steerer has been cut down to leave 5cm clear of headset - this fits most normal stems, some need spacers which I can throw in if you need them.
Frame and forks drilled for brakes.
Very slight ding to top tube from bar swing (see pic).
Otherwise excellent condition.
Comes with FSA headset and BB, and generic seat clamp.
See pics - one of built up bike for info - sale is F & F only.£150 ONO

Granted this is a fixed gear forum so I know it's not the prime selling point for a mountain bike, but plenty of members list off topic items for sale.
As for the price, I've set a price that I think is reasonable - Orange are darn fine bikes and this is in top nick. Ultimately, if you think the price is too high jones then you don't need to mention it on the thread. I do have an idea of bikes and prices and have set a price below which I wouldn't be happy to let the bike go. If it doesn't sell so be it. -
Completely rebuilt and serviced Orange XC Bike in great condition.
7005 Aluminium frame in as-new condition, Manitou elastomer forks, 24 speed Deore groupset, Avid brakes. Rear wheel is a stock hub 36 spoke on a really solid Weinmann rim, front is a radial laced bontrager hub on bontrager superstock rim. Many new parts including brand new cables, brake blocks and bars. SPD single sided trekking pedals with platforms. Frame and forks have disc brake mounts.
Frame measurements to follow - I think it's 19" - I'm just under 6 ft and it fits me perfect - the seatpost has a lot of room for adjustment in either direction.

Appreciate the offer of the lift Dammit - unfortunately I think I will probably be unable to make it now as I have a late appointment and not sure what time I'll be done. I'll make my own way and text for address if I'm coming. Also I can't eat burgers or anything right now so a BBQ might be tortuous (although I'm sure you know all the tricks of the liquidizer :-)). Hope to see folks at Bright Times on sunday.

Fair point Dylan, and I don't mind you raising it - I'm not that sensitive about the scarring. The Maxilo Facial surgeon who did the stitching took quite some time over it and really seemed to know what she was doing (she had to put some deep sutures inside the wound to hold it all together, as well as quite a few stitches inside my mouth). I think she put a lot of stitches in to hold it together tightly and minimise scarring - so it looks bad now but hopefully will heal ok. I am quite alright with the fact that I may well have permanent scarring (hey, some people pay to get this done!), so I'm happy to see how it all comes out in the wash. My wife is ok with it too which is perhaps more important. I guess I've only got my face for another 70 years or so (if I'm lucky) anyway, so I'm kinda philosophic about it.
Actually Tom's stiches look pretty damn tidy to me and although I'm no expert I have seen eyebrows and top of the cheek-bone gashes stitched worse than that and healed exceptionaly, almost invisibly, well.
Still worth questioning, for the sake of it, as you say - just to get as much knowledge as possible from a surgeon or somone who knows this stuff inside out but it does look very tidy to me. Bearing in mind these things often look worse than they actually turn out to be.

Thanks for all the legal/insurance advice everyone. I've got quite a lot of info together and have contacted some cycle specific solicitors through British Cycling with whom I had some insurance. They seem to think there's a good chance they'll get somewhere with a claim and sound like they know what they're doing - apparently a driver crossing a cyclist's path is one of the most common cycle claims so there should be some good precedents. I'm not expecting it to move fast though!
Thanks too for everyones good wishes - the Forum comes through once again as a truly supportive community. -
