A 65-year-old cyclist is in hospital in a critical condition after a collision with an e-scooter rider on Victoria Embankment.
Officers and paramedics were called to the collision shortly before 10pm on April 29, opposite Somerset House, where they found the cyclist seriously injured.
He remains in hospital from his “serious” injuries nearly a month on.Hope the rider recovers soon.

I passed a rider lying next to the road wrapped in a thermal blanket this morning around 9:00. It was at the bottom of Sawyer's Hill, i.e. in the part of the park where only authorised vehicles are allowed and I didn't see any car. The next time I passed the police had arrived but it took well over an hour for an ambulance to come. Best wishes for the rider and I hope that the ambulance didn't come earlier means it's not a major injury.

Another case in Battersea yesterday:
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jul/14/attempted-arrests-after-car-hits-group-in-londonThree people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car was driven into a group of people in south-west London, police said.
Police also arrested four people for affray after being called at 11.15pm on Saturday to reports of a fight following the incident at Lombard Road, Battersea, which saw a man suffer a broken leg. He was treated at the scene then taken to hospital.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Great Dover Street:
https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/is-this-the-most-dangerous-road-in-london.187212/
I met that ridge one January night before Q1 existed, I turned right out of Black Horse Court and when a speeding driver got very close I misread the dashed line to indicate that another lane started. No chance when you hit it sideways and I went down impressively, two local women saw it and marched me to Guys for some stitching. -
https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2018/jun/02/benedict-cumberbatch-saves-deliveroo-cyclist-london
Benedict Cumberbatch is reported to have saved a cyclist who was being
attacked.
The actor, who plays Sherlock Holmes in the hit BBC series, is said to
have rescued a Deliveroo rider who was being beaten up by a group of
four people, it emerged on Friday night.
The Sun said Cumberbatch was in a cab on Marylebone High Street in
central London with his wife, Sophie Hunter, when they saw the cyclist
being hit over the head with a bottle. -
Around 18:50 two ambulances blocked the left lane just before it turns into Greenwich Church St.
The patient looked conscious and had been put on a trolley. A helmet on the ground, so I assume it was a cyclist. The only bike I saw was a Brompton leaning against the wall, I didn't see a car connected with the incident.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. -

This will be interesting. The apportioning of blame is very clear in the event of doorings. Will the Transport Secretary be charged with an offence? I hope the rider gets adequate compensation in any event.
If the victim lets the organisation formerly known as CTC take up the case:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/dec/16/chris-grayling-could-face-private-prosecution-for-dooring-cyclistA cycling organisation hopes to contact the cyclist to offer legal assistance. Although the transport secretary stopped to apologise and check on the injured man, he left about 90 seconds after the incident, without leaving his details. The cyclist, Jaiqi Liu, was left dazed and injured, with a damaged bike and unaware of the identity of Grayling or the other ministers and aides in the car.
Cycling UK said “dooring” was a criminal offence and that if police did not prosecute, it was prepared to use its cyclists’ defence fund (CDF) to assist Liu in considering a possible case against Grayling.

The prosecution has changed the charge in the Penge case from dangerous driving to manslaughter:
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/sep/30/man-admits-dangerous-driving-in-deaths-of-child-actor-and-aunt-in-pengeA man has admitted causing the deaths of a child actor and his aunt
following a police chase and acknowledged the “utterly
incomprehensible pain and suffering” he caused to their family.
Joshua Dobby, 23, of no fixed abode, drove a black Ford Focus into
Makayah McDermott, 10, and Rosie Cooper, 34, as they walked along
Lennard Road in Penge, south London, on 31 August.
He was initially charged with causing their deaths by dangerous
driving but during a hearing at the Old Bailey it emerged he was now
charged with manslaughter.
Dobby appeared in court via video link from High Down prison in Surrey
and spoke to confirm his name and enter pleas to a new indictment. He
pleaded not guilty to the two manslaughter charges but guilty to
causing death by dangerous driving. -
