Just perfect Stelle
Much like velocio I feel somewhat shamed that I haven't made more of an effort, but wise enough to know how life pans out. that said seeing the sadness in so many good people and the loss of a true gent has left me wishing i gave more at times and i will
Wayne was a rock, but you get the measure of a man by the company he keeps. be proud folks, Wayne was with people he deserved to be around.
But there was one time i made him really angry. i mean head re-defining purple fury.
After Sparkle Motions (the peoples champions) fine run at the manchester champs, we stripped the bikes, loaded the car and set of back to london. it's a long drive so i have Wayne in the front on tunes, James in the back, probably wondering if one day he would be as rapid around the court as me.
About an hour into our journey home the manchester air started to take its toll. i say air but it could have been the cider, kebab, coffee.. who knows, but i needed to "adjust" to get comfortable. it was then i farted, it kind of punctuated waynes sentence and i noticed him tense up.
"You wont notice it, it was one of those that doesn't really smell" i said to re-assure him
"ah Pip thats just not on..."
"don't worry" i said it will clear
... it didn't, i mean it seemed to get thicker..
"christ whats wrong with you! i am not being funny but thats just not acceptable, you don't do it" went Wayne in this incredibly restrained but seriously pissed tones..
"I totally agree man, i am sorry" i say and start to explain how i had no idea it would have been like that and how the air conditioning is probably not helping.. i mean i would be angry if is was his fart etc etcit was about then when the comedy of the whole situation hit me, but also how now was not the time to laugh. really.. really not the time, Big Daddy was a powder keg waiting to go off, it was a long weekend.
But this is me.. so i lose it, what's worse i start James off in the back seat.
It felt like forever for me to get a lid on it, to avoid looking at James and convince the now raging Wayne i am not laughing at his reaction, i was.. but all is now calm and the awkward silence in the car is a status quo i could cope with
Then the next cramp like twinge; probably triggered by the fit of giggles, has cold sweat running down my back, but its silent.. Fuck yeah i have gotten away with it!No..Then came the roar "For fuck sake, you filthy fucker" "stop the car i am getting out" "drop me off at the train station" ah man he was raging..
"Your fine man" i re-assure him "i think the seat took the brunt of it", "look at it as one of your five a day?"Then i am gone, laughing so hard i cannot form a sentence to calm him, James is in pieces in the back and Wayne is all over the passenger side giving us both barrels. rocking in anger.
he is livid but there is nothing but love in the car and through some decent tunes it calms and the rest of the journey he is quiet. real quiet. He was the last drop, we got his bike out the back and squared up to say goodbye, i can see the sides of his mouth raise under that face fluff of his. "Thanks you filthy sod".. "No worries grumpy"
He also gave me the one piece of information i have fallen back on more than ever. He told me he believed we were only given the challenges we can cope with. a saying that manages to make me feel strong and lucky at the same time.
Till the next time Big man x

Bright times re-union would be fitting. DMZ was stylish, charming and up beat personified.
One of my fondest memories was a messy forum session at the Sloany, followed by a house party at Fiddys, Me Big Red and DMZ in a drinking competition.. Dwayne kept up the pace, as always big red won. i spent the night on the toilet floor (i came a close second) when i woke I found Fiddy smoking a fag buying bike parts on interweb, Richie looking he was on the wrong side of a kicking and Dwayne in a suit, immaculate and smiling and off out to work! Forged not born that cat!!
RIP buddy X

He's right, your lot were playing the Chelsea foul constantly in the first half hour, in fact it was Lukaku trying it, and getting it spectacularly wrong, that finally seemed to wake us up.
Did you see the Lukaku/Koscielny incident? it was right in front of me but i was following the ball. it didn't look much but it was enough for Lukaku to drop his head and hide for the next 30 mins
I thought it was a well earned point, Everton never really threatened but kept the ball well. we were far deadlier going forward but everton have a great midfield.
Big Phil was fantastic for them and if they keep their midfield in place they will be top 4 with ease.
I loved how the Everton players dragged Arteta over to the Everton fans after the match. nice touch! -

6.Duncan Ferguson - That cunt who used to skipper Bolton or some other shit team cant remember his name
- Gary Neville
- Dennis Wise
- RVN
how on gods earth Barton missed that list, i can just assume he is the manager
Cole shouldn't be on it, he fucked over a geordie scrubber in life (totally forgivable) but on the pitch he has been one of the best LBs in the league.. consistent like - JT

Exactly whom did AVB have playing in the middle AWAY@ MAN CITY???
Not sure but they chances are they all had stiff necks this morning.
I take it back AVB has the tactical sense of a pebble. shame as i thought he could do alright.
It has been coming all season, Spurs have been lucky to hold on to games. amazing how many cracks bale papered over last year.

Moyes is a cut above. just goes to show you don't need to have deep pockets to build a club if you have a long term goal and the stones to stick at it.
That and they sold us Arteta who is a lynch pin!
The spuds are years away from being a big club, the changes to the first team will make them play different but the entire squad - youth/reserves/backroom etc is looking in all directions. AVB will fight to get his first team playing and it will take him years to get the club run how he wants it, then many years to get the types of players through.

Oh, and while I'm at it, he has to take some responsibility for the club failing to win any trophies for the last 100 seasons. He has been in the first team through the whole trophy-less run, so I'm sorry, Robin, you are officially as much as a fucking loser as AFC.
The kid failed to work with a single striker though out his time at Londons greatest club.
He will never have a season like this and the only reason he had that season is the entire team lined up to feed him. Heskey could have shone.. any of Citehs big money bench warmers would have done the same as RVP.He is 29 and this is his peak.. best time to sell. but this ambition shit footballers come out with is fucking tosh!
Why not just be great... Adams, Rocky, Bergkamp - players whose names get sung even now because they give it their all for the club till they didn't have it in them. surely being the greatest player a club has had in living memory is good enough? why global megastar and all the honours? fucking egos...
RVP wants the £160k a year 4 year contract to see him out. i can't blame him.
He will be replaced and forgotten, Wenger can go out with a formation without the striker ala spain... given he only has nippy little midfielders left in the squad.... -

Jaw, I'd love to say I'm excusing 'Arry, but I don't have that much faith in him. I'm happy about the great run we had up until the new year, but I've never thought of 'Arry being the man to push us on, but he deserves some praise for getting the team to where it is...
If we scrabble home in a champions league place, leaves us on good footing for next season. But Newcastle are pushing hard and have a striker in Cisse and a creator in Ben Arfa who are hitting a purple patch, and Chelsea are still in the chase, so the pressure is on us to produce, and I'm not sure we will. Fingers and toes crossed though...
Over performed and blessed with no injuries and huge scoop of luck.
couple of knocks and you go down like a scouse bar maid, no mental strength and too many flouncy players.Harry can play the nice football and he has been lucky with the form of a few key players.
Enough to deserve 4th but the reward being the exposure of your squad. remove Harry and i can see next year being a shocker.. i can't see Newcastle doing what they did this year again, i also see chelsea having a luke warm year next year when they refresh the squad. no need to mention the Pool as we are talking about top clubs..Gunners for the taking really.

Dicki, I went to many dangerous grounds in those days when we were penned into tiny spaces and abused by the police. Yes, anyone of those places could have turned into a Hillsborough and I could have been crushed to death. If I had, I would not want people having minute's silence 23 years later and wearing black armbands. Instead I would be happy to see that steps have been taken to ensure that nothing like it happens again. Football should be a celebration not a mawkish necromance.
People had died on many tragedies. Do we stop in silence on motorways, hotels or eaters because people have died there? Do the trains halt at Moorgate or Kings Cross to recall those who died? Why football and why this one out of many disasters?

Yup, I reckon we'll get mugged... If we can play consistently well over both legs we stand a chance, but we haven't been able to do that lately... We've had some epic battles with Barca in the past...
Only 180mins away from Munich...

This european distraction will help secure chelsea their 6th place.. its all good.
I actually tipped them to win in europe when AVB was there, not time to establish a solid league run but enough in the head box to navigate a european run.Now its a load of overpaid old boys out to prove they still have it, a hugely ineffective overpaid spaniard desperate to show he has it and a few run a bouts. given the very nature of football i'd say they still are in with a shout. the papers would love it

Fuck it man!
Life is cruel, this Man wasn't, in fact the very antithesis, capable of articulating how he felt inside bringing the best out of those around him. Old Guapo could pick a mean tune, handy on the old bongos, tidy polo player, hipster, dedicated father, husband and son.. all round forum legend.
We are here for a fleeting moment, make it count for those around us.
Give Big Wayne a big kiss from me brother!
Love to all those he left behind, most of all his awesome wife and child X
Sad times. Good see these old faces. so good
