My dad has been hounding me to get these out of the hallway!
£70 each or £120 together.

Hey! I've done some work on it. It is ridable now, but I'm missing a front brake. Looking for one that matches the original front one! Thanks very much for your generosity, this will go to my dad who doesn't like to spend on himself and is currently riding something dangerously close to falling to pieces!

I'm quite tall, ride a 24/25 inch frame.
Further to my seeking a bike that can carry two people/one person and a lot of cargo, I've decided I'm going after a tandem bike with a lot of modification space, where I can rig up a removable cargo bay for when someone's not riding shotgun.
Anyone have a large tandem/frame going?
-
Stunt pegs are a great idea. But how long are you hoping to move these people? And what bike are you using?
Well the girlfriend really. She isn't really ready to ride on the road so it would be really convenient to be able to just throw her on the back instead of us making our separate ways to wherever it is we're going.
I'm using a 531c frame at the moment, not sure if it will take the weight of two people, so I was thinking of getting a sturdier frame for my two person bike. I still like the idea of it being as compact as possible for when I'm riding alone though.

I'd like some sort of extra seat/pannier seat/cargo seat so I can carry friends around on my bike. Apart from the xtracycle does anything cheap and cheerful exist for this purpose? Anyone selling a heavy duty pannier rack that could support about 60/70kg?
Otherwise does anyone have an old cargo bike or tandem going?
Cheers!

**Update: off the market
**I've decided to make an executive decision and take these off the thread for the following reasons:
They aren't turning a profit, and testing/packing/posting is a lot of work.
They work beautifully as extremely bright torches/or helmet lights, but some people have complained they become intermittent/cut off on bumpy roads mounted to the handlebars, an issue I didn't come across until very recently. I have offered refunds/discounts to those who contact me with a fault.
-
Spoke to my gf about this last night, she only used hers for three days before the button exploded, it had also been intermittent the whole time...
Mine stopped working (again) on the way home from work last night, I'll take you up on that refund offer...
That's fine, PM me, do you want to meet me again?
-
These are very cheap lights for what they are (the LED inside them is pretty high end) but obviously a they're from the far east they won't all be perfect!
I will happily offer you a refund/replacement if the light develops a fault in the initial month of use though so if you're not happy just PM me to send back/meet up. I don't want anyone to feel ripped off, and I quite like these lights myself as theyre cheap and cheerful, dispite the need for some of them to be glued at the button or unjiggled.
-
Here's a video I made on bump-proofing the Cree light. Some people reported that the light started to become intermittant when hitting bumps due to the battery case jiggling inside the torch.
I've showed a 2 second trick that you can use to stabilize the batteries using a standard business card "shim".

Hey Hoefla, the LED is a CREE Q5 high quality LED that doesn't look like a regular LED. It's a tiny flat, extremely bright light on a circuit board.
The battery compartment comes out, and you put the batteries in so that the spring side of each battery gap touches the negative contact of the battery (the flat end).
Let me know if you are still having trouble.
TS, sorry to hear that, the batteries can jiggle depending on the variability of the thickness of different AAA batteries causing the light to go a bit awkward over bumps. You can put a bit of folded paper in the compartment to stop them jiggling around over bumps etc.

Veg is so cheap at sainsburys if you buy the per kilogram stuff... Example:
1 carrot: 4p
1 parsnip: 11p
1 brocolli: 40p
1 sweet potato: 38p
1 onion: 9p
Baguette: 60p
**
Grand total: **£1.62Everything in a pot, boil until soft, blend (with the water included) until smooth.
Makes 4 portions.
That is 4 absolutely delicious, nutricious lunches at 40p each.
I need an old beater for getting round the city.
I'm 6 foot 3, usually >60cm does the trick.
Would be grateful if anyone has anything lying around. Happy to pay some dollar, but not too many.
Cheers
