I expect that the strike welcomes your support, whilst you continue to patronise the venue. Maybe hand them notes with a link to this thread on it so they can see your staunch support?
Oh behave. I said supported their *right *to strike. If I felt strongly enough about their plight to make the statement that I supported the strike then I would have joined the boycott and not gone.
But I weighed it up and decided that on balance I didn't feel that their complaint was worth my not playing three songs in the upstairs bar for no money last night. If it's alright with you I'd like to be able to disagree without resorting to snarky sarcasm. Cheers.

Hmmm. Guess I was coming to it from the point of view that the mainly white, middle class, educated and staff working there out of choice (you don't end up working the Ritzy by queuing up at the job centre) are in a very different position to the majority of the rest of working class in Brixton. It's not like they're cleaning the loos in KFC for minimum wage. They're striking over the differnece between £8 and £8:50 an hour. I am sympathertic and of course support their right to strike. But boycott? Dunno.

Chrrrrrrrrs ppl.
It's def CPU not HD maxing out so yeah I figured it wuld be marginal gains. I know which pluggins to avoid stacking up in order to prevent the stuttering but it is starting to become a limiting factor.
Anyone here got a suitable replacement for sells before I hit ebay etc?
Would be happy with iMac or MBP or even Air. Not worried about storage as I keep everything on external HDs anyway. Just need a fast enough processor and enough RAM to run multiple instances of software plugins in Logic Pro. Thunderbolt would be a huge plus too as it means I could use an external soundcard to run UA pluggins.

^^^MultiGrooves, those look great. What are they?
I've been ditering for weeks looking at all sorts of boots but had a hankering for a proper old school pair of DMs lately. Bought these "For Life" 8 holes on Saturday and I'm super happy with them: http://www.drmartens.com/uk/Mens/Mens-For-Life/c/Mens-For-Life
They're goodyear welted (unlike the normal BDs which are just glued these days) and have a thicker midsole and much softer, supple matt finished leather. They feel absolutely great. they also have lifetime guarantee (re-sole or replace) which the normal ones no longer have.. They actually look a little less clod-hopping/thuggish than I remember and are quite a narrow fit. Perfect antidote to the endless tan brogue boots of recent years. Couldn't resist a pair of bright red laces too. Badass.
