Hello all.....
I'm being lazy to save myself the effort of going in to the cellar to take photos to sell these bits. If anyone is interested I can deliver them to Manchester or the 'burbs.
- Volume Cutter f+f (53cm I think) in black with seat post, Charge spoon saddle and BB fitted. I'm 5'8" and it fits me OK. Used for Polo but never abused (except when Woody used to have a go!)
- Velocity wheel set: Front 36h silver, machined. Back 36h black, not machined with Sys Ex fixed hub and 21T. Again used for polo so have a few dings but only cosmetic. Tyres fitted.
- BMX Headset and chopped DMR Wingbars for Cutter, used for polo so solid
- Shimano Sora front brake calliper cabled to Dirty Harry lever for above bars and frame.
Basically a bike minus the chainset. I'm looking for £200 but open to offers if no interest and I may consider splitting if the frame goes.
Cheers, Wayne.

The cutter now sports a set of mudguards and some cut-down drops. It's a shadow of its former self, now used for getting to work and back as the winter wrecked by Bob good and proper.
Once I've got myself a commuter again I'll poloize it and it'll be up for sale! My polo days (and knees) are long gone sadly.

^ I'm in no rush to sell, i just get annoyed every time I walk past in the hall knowing it's wasted. Anyways, cheers for the advice. I'll think about it once the hangover has settled!
Update - It's a good job I didn't sell this..... Got my Bob Jackson out for a once over before I go back to work and it's well and truly knackered. I put it away before Xmas full of snow and salt and everything's seized up. The Phil Wood bottom Bracket has even seized which I thought what impossible.

how much for the wheelset wayne?
I need to sell it complete really, otherwise I'll be stuck with a frame I'll never use and once things go in the cellar they're never seen again! Then again if there's no other interest (and it doesn't look like there will be) I'll probably reconsider by next weekend.
What's the going rate for a Deep V's?

No beers for me Woody. I got pulled by the police last time I was out for cycling with no lights and 'weaving'!! One of the only times I've cycled without lights and I get pulled. Fair play to the copper - liked the look of by bike an sent me on my way.
Ronnie - I'd be up for a hill or two tomorrow. Any route or time that suits really - the weather's gonna be good all day.

[QUOTE=rob.;1413845]That's exactly how it's set up. I'm thinking risers or horns will be the first mod. QUOTE]
you buy a FGSS bike specifically made to look old school, and put risers on it? why didnt you just get a fuji track if you wanted a ugly looking bike?
I had a fuji track and it was a good bike, I don't remember it looking ugly.
If the OP wants to put tassles on the end of his risers and maybe even wear a dress its all good. You can do what you want with your own bike - surely that's the point??
As long as you like it and ride it who's to tell anyone what's good or bad.

Nes - Cool! just checked out your second route. It goes past by wife's house in Halifax. I know it like the back of my hand. If you go the other way from Ripponden to Halifax past a pub called the Fleece you get a killer hill to climb. Save that for a nice sunny day and have a pint at the top then turn right, over the moors to Buckstones and down the silky smooth road into Dopbcross and Delph.
I like a beer.... I also like smoked kippers.... together in the same glass..... It's not right. Couldn't get the taste out of my head for weeks. Enough to turn a man back on to Fosters!
