anyone got any ideas? I have an old road bike style lever but really would prefer a discreet bmx style brake lever. I actually bought a Paul Comp for £35 (feeling flush) but even that wont fit on the Cinelli Criterium - mainly because it is a slide on design that struggles to go round the drop bars. So that was a waste of cash... i best stick it on ebay.
Anyway - someone must have these bars? What have you done?
thanks

yeah its aluminium (Alan frame from the late 70s i think) so not sure squeezing it in would be a great idea. I know some track hubs can be used with washers to provide a snug fit without squeezing (maybe they all can, dunno?). Sounds like i should be OK with those Suzues on ebay according to RPM so reckon i will go with them. As for the chainline i have no idea, its an old Campag Record b/b and crankset, i have no idea how i could reliably measure it with a tape so think i will just bite the bullet and deal with the chainline problem when i come to it.
Oh yeah and had my first blast on a fixie round Richmond park today on my mate's bike. Scared the shit out of me when i started going downhill and spinning like mad but a good laugh on the mini uphills that Richmond park gives you.
Anyway thanks for the advice.

hi,
i have an old frame with a 126mm OLN. i saw this wheelset on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200205873701
they have Suzue Large Flange hubs. This may not be enough information to go on but does anyone know if they will take spacers so i can use them on my bike?
Or in general does anyone have advice on the best track hubs that can be used on 126mm with spacers?thanks
yeah i thought a lot about that. Loosing the brooks could save a few hundred grams and i have heavy puncture proof 28mm tyres on there as well. Replacing those and swapping out the cheap alloy bars and seatpost for carbon would probably do it. But them i'm loosing all that comfort for the sake of 700 grams.
Might as well just go easy on the donor kebabs instead and shave a few kgs off the waistline. Or buy the ti version of the frameset for the ridiculously priced £1800.
