I had my first ride in RP in the weekend and there is only 1 nasty hill...maybe about 500 meter long S bend. I'm unfit as hell and it knackered me but worth a ride around. I think it was the ride out from north london and the idea of the ride back that made it a painful expedition.
Haven't gone around it the other way which I understand is a more subtle but longer incline.
Good weekend ride though. Just don't get invloved in the half time cigs.

Recently brought a new bike and the fixed spocket was slipping on first few rides (random???)
Last night when I locked up the locking ring came right off allowing the spocket to just spin off it's thread. Lucky I was just pissing around on my way home....Got home and pulled it apart and there's no visible threading etc etc but on leaving the house it slipped a couple of times again. As before it seemed to come good as I rode a bit further.
Whats the story. I'm guessing this shouldn't be occuring full stop or do I just need to keep an eye on it and ensure it's tight at all times.
Any advice or solutions would be appreciated.I haven't nutted myself since child hood and wish to avoid whilst in my prime.
cheers

Pot holes? What pot holes....
These bikes handle the shite roads we have in our favoured city.
Hopefully they bring it out in that multi/change paint colourway that you see boy racers driving around in their honda civics! Love that shit. Makes me want to park up my bike and spend twice the amount of time getting around town!Who looks cooler? Plug smugs or kids with designer facial hair!!

For an off the peg bike the plug's all good. Yeah it is heavy but for a cruiser or commuter it does the job. I brought one as a novice to fixed riding and it's serving it's purpose. Would I be a a repeat offender....no probably not just down to getting more knowledge and the insight to rebuilding another bike. Colourway on this option is wack and that saddle shits me to tears!
I can't see this colourway being on the roads to much so all you haters needn't worry about the fixed community being inundated with neon freaks. The bull horns on the current instore model (deep blue colourway) is also a bizarre component for what is a basic street bike.

Does any body know good bike stores that could build velocity with some special hubs... Not sure exactly what I want just yet.
Going through there on the way back to Oz and figured I could make my pound go further.
Any store names would be appreciated.
