Oh no, heal up soon eyebrows. I saw you at the start and was going to DAS you at some point but didn't see you come around again by the time I'd finished packing the car. Well done for persevering for a few laps anyway, the course today was pretty tough, I had a little strop on the warm-up when I discovered the banks/run ups, scary as fuck for the first couple of goes.

I've got tektro mini Vs on my cross bike, exactly like Howard says they're good on the road, sometimes even better than the dual pivots on my other bike depending on conditions, but they're not ideal for racing on since they clog up easily and you have to keep the rims super true all season because tolerances are mm perfect.

I don't think its been mentioned in this thread yet, but PX are doing a Pro Carbon XLS. Its supposedly got slightly racier geometry than the disco and is BB30, tapered and £200 cheaper:

The First Nations people of British Columbia (BC), Canada, have for centuries revered the spirit bear, or Kermode bear, to be found in the Great Bear Rainforest a vast, old-growth temperate rainforest that runs up from southern BC to Alaska. The spirit bear is a rarity a black bear with recessive genes that give it a creamy white coat. Its other name, ghost bear, reflects its elusiveness. Paul encountered this individual in September, at the height of the salmon run, when the bears are feasting on the fish bonanza and fattening up in preparation for hibernation. "Spirit bears seem to prefer to escape the busy bear-fishing areas and wander into the forest to savour their meals in peace. I followed this bear until it settled down to eat. I was crouched less than a metre away", says Paul, "but he was very chilled and acted as though I wasn't there. It was really a dream come true, a dream I'd had since a kid, to walk through the forest with a bear". The Great Bear Rainforest is one of the largest unspoilt temperate rainforests left, and it's the only place where spirit bears can be found. First Nations people are using the spirit bear as an ambassador animal in their campaign against a pipeline that will carry oil from Canada's tar sands in Alberta down to the BC coast. The pipeline and associated infrastructure will destroy forest, but the greatest concern is the risk of an oil spill from a tanker entering the hazardous coastal channel to collect the oil one spill could wipe out an entire coastal ecosystem.

Tiger Temple is the colloquial name for Wat Pa Luang Ta Bua Yannasampanno, a Buddhist monastery at Kanchanaburi in Thailand. Its relationship with tigers started in 1999, when the abbot took in a number of injured and orphaned cubs. The monastery then started to breed its tigers. Now it receives hundreds of paying visitors a day wanting to stroke and be photographed with them. Over the years, there has been both positive press for Tiger Temple, including tourism awards and a film, and negative reports that animals are mistreated behind the scenes. Lee's picture shows a male tiger leading tourists back from the tiger-petting arena to the monastery, followed by his two-month-old cubs (an unusual sight, since cubs would normally stay with their mother until at least a year old)

Keep going with them, they might come up yet. Almost everything I planted this year germinated with a couple of days, but the tomatoes took 2+ weeks to shown (plastic greenhouse), and the aubergines and peppers only appeared after 3+ weeks in the airing cupboard. This year's current title holder though is a solitary passion fruit seedling which has finally appeared after 5 weeks under heat.
