Has anyone tried this instead of mixing your own mist coat? I want to use Little Greene for a couple of the rooms and at £99/5L, I am not making any mist coat out of it and don't have any leftove cheap paint lying around. So thinking maybe buy a primer would be easier.
Not too concnered about the cost as it's only a few quids difference.

I am just basing my surprised on his other quotes, for example, he changed me £105 + parts to install a new socket that includes lifitng the carpet, floorboard, making a hole on some brick walls, wiring etc. It was only a year ago. Maybe his overhead has gone up. I am in no way suggesting he is a cowboy, because he always spends time going throgh options with me. We have a cowboy living on our street who always want at least twice of what everyone else quotes for and has gradually fallen out with everyone.
Yes, he always does test and send paperwork/cert if required by law the following day.

Just wanted to sense check, I need to repalce my bathroom fan, at the moment it is controlled with a pull cord. I want to replace with one that is controlled by the light switch. My sparky has quoted £175 labour + additional materials not including the fan itself. So the additional materials are things like cables and couduit etc. So he needs to wire the new fan into the loft and add an isolator outside of the bathroom and also replace the vent on the outside wall. Is £175 reasonable? His date rate is £265 and hourly rate is £50. This can't be half a day's work, can it?

Patch is turning 13 next month and I just tried to start a new quote, they won't even offer the same £12k a year plan anymore for older cats. For £3k per an illness per a policy year, their quite was just under £30, so I guess £50 is somewhat reasonable?
Agree with the claims, they have never challenged any claims we have made, including dental problems. Still for £50 a month, it's quite expensive, but then my little furball is priceless.

How much do you pay for your pet insurance? I have been with PetPlan for years and have always been relatively happy with them in terms of monthly cost, year on year, they only increased the monthly cost by less than around 10%, some years only a couple of pounds.
Have made a few claims over the years and they have always paid withing days. However, just got my renewal doc and the cost has gone up by over 20% (£41.xx to £50.xx). Patch does has good covers as it is their most expensive plan (£12,000 per a claim year + a bunch of other stuff). I can still afford it, but it feels a bit like day light robbery now. Esp my own insurance cost less than this and they have always been happy to give a discount when I call and have a reasonable conversation with them.
I challenged PetPlan price hike last year and they said it's because of the local vet charges, for example, London vets costs more and so we have to pay more, I said, but I literally just moved out of London and that shut them up, they then very reluctantly gave me 10% discount.

For full transparency, the bag is sold to @konastab01. He paid £375+postage with the intention to give £25 to Scott, but Scott has not replied to my message so I have since returned £25 to @konastab01

I’ll leave @konastab01 to decide on the arrangements.

It's not a Dulux product, it's Polyvine. What pissed me off the most was the Dulux people gave Polyvine my number and basically told me to deal with them. Polyvine is looking into swapping the bottles for me, but last night, I thought to myself, why do I have to deal with any of these shit? When Polyvine can be bought from Amazong and B&Q? I only bought form Dulux because there was a site wide sale. Never again.

It’s 14 days to inform them and then 14 days from that date to return, right? So if I ordered on 22 Aug, I have till 4 Sept to inform them then till 17 Sept to return. Is that right? Think I’ll email them to state I will be returning to the store by (date), so it’s in writing. It got to a point yesterday they didn’t answer my call anymore.

Can I just check if I bought something online and want to return it, I don't have to give a reason and the shop have to accept the return and give a refund? It's not been used and in the exact same condition as when delivered and it was only yesterday.
I bought some wood vanish bottles from a Dulux centre that are 2 years old, they are now refusing to take them back, saying if it has problem, the manufacturer will give a lifetime guarantee. They kept saying they are not 2 years old, the date on the bottles are the production date, so they are 2 years old then, no? The manufacturuer says if they have been stored "correctly", they should be fine, otherwise, they vanish will peel off as it dry. I don't want to put the vanish on the wood to then realise it's gone off then have to deal with that. Dulux's reason for refusal is because it's a direct supplier order so if I return it that the shop will be stuck with the items. How is that my problem? I said, how could a direct supplier order be something that is 2 years old and moment before that, they literally said they picked them from the shop floor. Then they kept saying if I return the bottles they can't sell them.
I am done arguing with them, it sounded to me they are just giving excuses knowing they wo't be abl to sell those bottles that are 2 years old, also it's the poor customer service that pisses me off so I want my money back and go somewhere instead.
So if I brought they back to the store that delivered them and tell them this: https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds can they still refuse? If they do, what's next?

Pics are up. I do understand dibs are impotant here, but seeing the timing of everyone's posts being so close and I did post very late last night so not fair for those who need to get up early and some DMs. If it's OK, if anyone can collect from London tomorrow - King's Cross late morning or late afternoon till evening or Herne Hill at a specific time in the afternoon (I am at the dentist if you must know).
AND
If anyone wants to buy Scott a nice meal and some drinks by offering more than £350, I will sell it to that person. If you can collect tomorrow, every penny over £350 will go to Scott.
I hope I am being fair.

It was that time I was working in King's X and you came to meet me a couple of times at my workplace then and I think I collected this bag from you when you were waiting to collect some passports somewhere.
I am sorry to see this go, but equally a courier bag should belong to someone who will use it.
Had this once a long time ago for my own machine, an Apple store will only unlock it for you if you can proof you are the owner of the machine and proof of ID. If your dad has given it to you then I am guessing the ownership has not been offically transferred. I am not actually sure how the transfer of ownership actually works, I guess it's whatever the Apple ID the machine is logged in with...
