just checked the threads offered and this hasn't been covered, and i reckon it deserves it's own thread :)
i'm giving my pac bag to my girlfriend, which is terribly generous. what is less generous is that it was previously given to my cat to sleep in and my girlfriend is heavily allergic to the mental fluffball that is callie. i've rooted about inside the bag and can't find a care label- even if there was one it's likely faded to the point of uselessness or fallen off.
anyone ever done this? checked pac's site and the instructions don't have anything on there.
any help/suggestions (bar the ridiculous :P) appreciated :)
ps. i'd ask on the courierenger side about this sort of thing but most of them have no idea what a washing machine is let alone how to use one ;)

Yes, this is still available.
Just so people know (and i really mean no offence to pistoffski :)) the Triton has what are basically system EX/formula/all the rest hubs- them being the important bit of the wheel i really want to upgrade them: a phil wood rear in good nick would be right up my alleycat if you get my drift? ;)

Goldtec track rear hub fixed/fixed (black), circa '06 (apparently some later ones have seen problems- not this one), seen plenty of miles but at the last check the bearings were perfect, slight marking on the flanges but has only been rebuilt once so it isn't really too bad. It has 130mm spacing rendering it useless for a track frame without converting it, however it's perfect for a roadbike conversion job as the frame won't need fucking with (or "cold set" if you want to proper ;)).
DT swiss double butted stainless steel spokes. There are 32 of them.
DT swiss 1.1 rim (black), no brake pad has ever tainted the surface ;) these sit somewhere in between and open pro and cxp33 in terms of profile.
They were built up by me (if I can find it I can show you my DT swiss certified wheel builder certificate?) in February, the only reason I'm selling is that my Colnago road bike frame I had been abusing has given up. I'm now on Gary Fisher Triton which has 120mm spacing and wants tricking out. Hence:
For the above I would like £100 (Retail would be knocking on £200 including build) or will consider swaps for something suitable that would fit my Fishy Triton.
All offers will be considered though you probably ought to know I have really specific demands when it comes to sexual favours.
Contact on here or direct to joeinlondon@live.com
Will get some pics up soon but it's fairly self explanatory.

yeah, maybe goldtech 2004... but in the last year their "bomb proof" reputation has been tarnished due to hubs cracking - now who's to know whether a recently-bought hub is one from a bad batch.
on-one periodically sell their hubs at this stoopid price.. buy now and enjoy a good budget wheel if you get the chance, even if it's just for a spare rear wheel. like horatio said, suitable for most people's needs and by no means the worst option. as far as i'm concerned £15 rear on-one hub + £20 open sport rim + £15 dc spokes = £50 of win.
fair enough, the main issue i've had with goldtec is the supply. not that long ago their machine operator got ill and production was majorly disrupted :/
i think the formula stuff has also had reliability issues but at the price they go for it's quite forgivable.

i fucking love these KHS frames, the wiggly seat tube allowed them to bring the back wheel right under the rider giving it a scary short wheel base- hence it has a frighteningly tight turning circle and IME the front wheel likes to come off the ground when you accelerate.
got some money? strap it up with a modern 10sp groupo, fulcrum wheels, carbon fork (will be a pain to source but they are out there- i can check my suppliers see if i can find one), decent o/s bar+stem combo.
if you don't like it that much then it probably isn't worth it, personally i love the harsh no compromises handling of these bikes. :)

hello all, after meeting the most lovely ldngrrrl online (not yet IRL o_0) i've decided to come back and actually post more often. expect odd ramblings about courier culture not being what it was- like anyone gives a flying fuck- moans about the lack of work*- like anyone gives a flying fuck- and general inanity.
waves at ldngrrrl, jos, nhattattack, biffalo buff and jack crank
*on which subject pm me if you want to hire some really overpriced camera gear and pay through the nose to have it delivered by a stinking and soggy forumite on a flash bike.
edit: waves at overdrive too!
