provenrad I don't use them myself, but in the context that the dude-in-distress had never patched a tube before and I was trying to get him home as easily as possible I thought pre-glued would be faster and easier.
LOL Dude-in-distress, i did know how to repair a tube but i wanted to know if it was best to replace or repair the tube, i just have not done it on a 700x23 tube before, and i thought it would affect the ride.
edmundane
provenrad 12. making inner tube patches
any good instructions on how to do this? i tried but never got it to work...
Chop a circle or what ever shape you wand out of the old tube. roughen up the side of the old tube that is on the outside (Not the chalky side) and apply alot of glue, more than usual but wait till the glue is touch dry before sticking it

I finaly made i home, from old street I ended up lugging the bike to evans just off farringdon, took me about 20 mins to walk. what realy annoyed me was that i ended up paying 10 for the fix like a chump. I kinda deserve it for not being prepared but it wont happen again! i still got the old tube and im gonna fix it as my emergancy repair, or tell my girl to wear it as a thong ^^. Any way i orderd a pair or Rubino's so things should be ok when they come but ill still carry my pump and tools just in case

For the past month ive been looking for an excuse to change the stock tyres on my fuji track, and guess what, it came today. On my way to work on old street i got a puncture on my front wheel, im kinda angry because its gonna be a long 8 mile walk home or trying to cram my bike in the tube at rush hr when i finish. ahhh i dicide when the time comes, any way.. what i want to know is is it better to repare my inner tube or buy a new one? if i do repair it will i feel a hump on that point every time the wheel spins?

Max, fuji is the way to go if your on a budget, its good value for money, the only work ive did to mine so far is replaces the handle bars for some chopped risers, added a shim 105 front brake, and tapped up the graphics with some black electrical tape, the decals got to me after 2 days. what i want to change next are the stock tyres, but im still looking for an excuse to

Guys how much of a difference do you feel using quality sprockets and chain rings vs the cheaper options (Using the same ratios), i would have thought not much seeing as they are not moving, well not in the same way as you hub or BB does. Maybe im wrong but im just asking seeing as i've only used the one's that came with my fuji
