Hey,
Just rewrapped drops and looking for any thoughts on how to secure plugs so they don't get nicked/fall out - I seem to be good at losing them!
Thought I remembered a suggestion on the forum but search didn't come up anything.
They're Cinelli plugs, not gold plated, but I seem to remember Roberto selling them so there must be some appeal... Aside from the obvious excrement route anyone ever bothered with glue or something like that?
Cheers, Cookie

Hello all,
I'm in the process of building up my first fixed and wanted some opinion on what length of cranks to go for...
I've read about pedal strike and so 165mm cranks seem the way to go, but could I get away with 170mm? Ive seen a few on ebay that look nice, but is this foolish on a track frame?
Say hi if you see me around SE5 - I'm geared (for now) on a lurvely Reynolds 753 pug in blue.... Cheers, Cookie

I work advising people with criminal records what to do when they're having CRB checks so I should know about this stuff
basically, there is no formal definition of a criminal record but it is generally understood to be a finding of guilt in court. i.e. you have to go to court to get a record. So if you get a fine on the street this is not a criminal record. If you thought f*ck that I aint paying the fine.... take it to court, and lose, you would be given a punishment (prob bigger fine) and then you would have a criminal record :-(
ive been pulled at lights a cpl of times and found that the 'terribly sorry' approach avoids fines, even though inside I wish they'd piss off and do some proper policing...
btw PJ - If you had got a fine the chances of it appearing on an enhanced CRB are almost zilch!

Give Barry Witcomb a call... He's got 50 years of experience and is in Deptford... I've seen quite a few bikes in his workshop that look like they should be melted down for scrap cos they're soooo damaged but he confidently said "no problems... new tube here, weld there"
he's pretty busy but might be worth a call, Good luck!
