Dear Man on the blue On One - Embankment - Horseguards - Whitehall, 8.45 Monday 22nd,
I know you must be on here, because if you insist on riding 3 feet from my back wheel for more than a mile and then try to make small talk 'gotta love taxis', I know you must be truly dying for a spot on this thread. I was braking sharply not just for that taxi but to get you off my back wheel.
I was trying to tell you that you shouldn't tailgate people. The correct answer to this is not 'yeeeaaah'.
I was then trying to clarify that you are fucking dangerous, and to piss off, did you hear that, I wonder? I'm curious whether you know how dangerous you are or whether it doesn't matter as long as you get to talk to other cyclists that are trying to get away from you. I watched you do it to some other people too.
Just in case you were wondering.
Fucking weapon.
(Yeah so it's been 8 months, forum... hai!)

Jack Straw in my car park.
I'm not sure if these are related - but some seeminlgy off-duty courier (ie, on a go-slow) on a SS Surly this morning, who I overtook at Sun Street x Aldersgate Street, going west. Then 90 seconds later, a cyclist rather unsuccessfully trying to overtake me on Long Lane (by going slower than me, it would seem) and crashing smack bang into the back of a white van. Fucking funny shit, if you're going to ride like that! I have no idea if it was the same guy, but whoever it was, you maybe don't want to ride a bike for a living?
Jack Straw makes me feel important.
Other cyclists make me laugh/sometimes endanger my life.
Huh. -
This is kind of random, but I found this distro off the back of www.collective-zine.co.uk, figured it'd be of interest to some (I am way too out of date to know what's up with these bands) http://sncl.collective-zine.co.uk/index.php. I've yet to find a reasonably good UK distro for this kind of stuff since Assembly Line and Rhythm Thief.

My chain was so slack it fell off and scared me silly, especially when it got jammed between my wheel and frame so I was skidding down Smithfield Street totally out of control. Or more out of control than usual, at least.
Also, I deliberately smashed a pint glass in the sink last night. So satisfying.

www.fillthathole.org.uk is run by the CTC - has a track record of success too, which is more than you can say for TfL.

Chap on a Surly last night on Victoria Embankment asking whether my bike was covered in wrapping paper. I didn't get another chance to catch up and ask whether you were on here.
Also, someone has a green and white Colnago conversion locked up in Richmond House. I like that you have bullhorns and box rims, whoever you are.

Someone on a cream frame with blue rims yelled and waved at me and Matt (Baddesigner) as we were heading north on Kingsland Road yesterday afternoon.
We waved back even though we weren't sure who it was... For some reason I think it may have been Nhatt? I'm sure it was a girl. My facial recognition skills are appalling though.

this morning about 8:50. Bethnal Green Rd junction with Shoreditch High Street - I saw a girl this morning with long red hair, small bike looked like a lugged steel frame with carbon-weave pattern on the main tubes, purple Vs and a pink LFGSS saddle dangler, so I guess she's a forumenger, but I didn't recognise her.
Hello if you're on here. I would have said 'hi' but I was late for work.
Hi, yes I'm indeed a forumenger, it is a lugged steel frame covered in carbon-effect vinyl and they are aqua-coloured rims. And we've actually met several times - once at east beers and also at Downham. Ha! Needless to say, I didn't see you at all, were you hiding?

Why should I have to go at any pace other than what I am comfortable with? Ignore him when he crashes into me as I manoeuvre, ignore him when he is blocking my view of traffic every time I look behind - no.
People who ride dangerously need to be told so, for everyone's future safety.
