how's epping running atm? guessing it's pretty wet still

Quick question: has anyone ridden either of the 2 XC loops at chicksands? What are they like and how would they compare to Swinley? I've ridden there loads but never strayed outside the bike park.

Just back from four days in Afan on an Orange Gyro Pro. Very impressed. Fast uphill, fun downhill. Only 110mm front and back but felt totally capable on rocky descents. Really want one now.

yeah i have a broken strap at work but it is the old school CDC not the newer (what i would use) CDX. I'd make one once i had one that was worn out but to make one from a new strap is too expensive for my tastes.

Great searching tester. Another question for people who have done it how did you tighten the sprocket just put it in the frame and pedal?

I don't think there is ed, i've been thinking it might be better to modify a tool to work with the lockring. As you'll need a special lockring tool to get inside the space and have a hole for the axle to go through. Something like this park one.

I've been thinking about Belt drive recently so have been doing a bit of research. I found a picture of en excel calculator with some archive digging i found the file, i've modified it and put it here for people to download.

EDIT: The socket tool will only work if you can remove the axle, so for allen bolted hubs, the hole is for a 3/8" = ~ 9.5mm so too small for a 10mm rear axle.

Yep. Gates released a threaded rear fixed cog with the new centertrack system. Running 55/21.

Did you use the sugino lockring in the end?

Conti Mountain King on the back and Rubber Queen on the front, both tubeless. Front is 18months old, never been deflated, never punctured. Rear only replaced because I wore it out, also never punctured.
