Platini Cinelli F&F
This is more like it at GBP440...
as much as i would love a cinelli frame, the geometry on this leads me to be very disappointed in cinelli.

bombadil commuters always seem to try drafting my when i'm cycling down the mall towards buckingham palace. i usually slow right down and wave them past me, then they swear.
seriously....how much time are you saving by drafting on your city commute?
if you have 20miles worth of open road suburban riding to do on your commute, a draft might help (so would a skinsuit, aerobars, and an aerohelmet), but in the middle of london? -
Momentum Ribble have got some special offers which might interest people here:
No.1 Miche Pistard tubular wheelset £120 http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/details.asp?D=&Cat=&Section=&GenCode=MCHEWHFT0200
at almost 2kilos you shouldn't be allowed to market those as 'lightweight track wheels'

asm
photoben Should have explained the whole story - missed the start. Most of the time not too bothered about drafters, but I'm bombing it as I'm late for work. See this guy in the distance dawdling along pretty slowly. Soon as I whizz past, he speeds up! THAT is what annoyed me.
Photoben, that is called a "race". If you pass another fixie rider at speed, for whatever reason, the other rider will take this as a cue to race you. :)
it's like when i play 'catch the roadie'
if i see a roadie in full lycra (peacock) then i ride close to him (though not drafting) and then all of a sudden SPRINT! and then at an arbitrary finish line that only i know about, i declare myself the winner (unbeknown to him). a few times the roadies have caught on to what i'm doing and just toyed with me for a little while before upping their gearing and riding off into the sunset.also, cops on bikes do NOT like it when you ride up next to them and yell 'SURPRISE SPRINT!' and go tearing off.

i actually managed to cram 1 extra wheel in my hard case, but now have 1 wheel sitting around, probably going in the box i have. whether or not i ship this 1 extra wheel in a box or fly with it, would it be a smart idea to sort of 'frame' the wheel with books? in other words encircle the wheel and hub/line the box with books?
-
so i'm going back to the US and i'm trying to ship a pair of wheels back, since i trust ups and fedex more than airport baggage handlers, and i got a quote today that it would cost me about 100pounds to ship a box with wheels weighing about 2kilos back, because the 'dimensional weight' is 12kilos...what the fuck?! put them on a goddamn boat across the atlantic for all i care, as i just need them in the US within about a month from now.
is there any way to get around this, or am i better off just paying for having an 'extra bag' at the airport and hoping the baggage handlers don't fuck shit up?thanks.

markrjohnson Your welcome to draft me if you want to.
BUT, I reserve the right to swerve, bunny hop holes, brake like a banshee, and generall ride like your not there. If you come to grief, its down to you.
So why not try and pass, then we can have a real race!
Toodle pip
truth. the guy is back is usually the first to go down. so if you draft in a stupid situation without my permission and you go down, you've got no one to blame but yourself.
though drafting on open roads, that's an etiquette thing - ask me first and be willing to share the work load.

Mouse 'Blasted' = what exactly?
had db not posted right after this, i would have assumed blasted = blasted away = shot.
winston: there are numerous books (or atleast lengthy essays) published on the (well, in america atleast) african-american myth among white people; and while most 'myths' aren't directly racist, they do include the fear white men have of black men, mostly as a matter of not being able to 'size up' black men as they would other white men.

Object17
Roberto
straightedgeandy the bikes in my garage go from £600 up to £3.5k in value/quote]
Wow which one is the £3.5k one - i bet it has gears ;)
I reckon I could manage a 3.5k Fixed wheel bike, provided I get my favourite gay designer to help me out.
look makes a track frame worth around $9Gs. i think those corima (sp?) frames also go for that much.
a top of the line set of track wheels will be about $1.5-2Gs -
'turned into'...which picture exactly had us crossing the line? as other people said, it was a french guy and can really be applied to any person mispronouncing english words. ok...part of it indirectly sorta comes from the vietnamese hooker in the 2nd part of 'full metal jacket', but i don't see any of this is directly racist. and most of the photochops are making fun of anglo-american culture.
now for more arro!
