I've come across a guy selling a frame he claims to be a Webster from the North of England: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330587617280&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_1156
I can't find much info online about this frame builder, which seems to have wound up in the 1980's. Does anyone have any knowledge to share?

Yup! The French will be rampant today - Bastille Day!
My wedding Anniversary too - it's the only way I remember it. 'Why is a Frenchman attacking? Fuck me! I'd better get down the ESSO for some fleurs and Ferrero Rocher!
Ten years wed. Tin wedding anniversary. Tin. If that's not an excuse for some tins in front of the telly I don't know what is!ha!

would have been interesting to see yesterday's game play out in full. 3 full time spinners. damn rain, hopefully will be dryer in Pallekele
yeah. it was shaping up for an interesting contest. sanga was going beautifully! I reckon your comment above "if the wickets don't spin" is a bit pessimistic - the pitches in SL and India are going to suit spin a lot more than pace!
from an aussie perspective it's a real pain that match was washed out - it means our batsmen won't have had a hit for 2 weeks (in the middle of a tournament, this is ridiculous). could be costly later in the tournament.

It's this attitude from the Aus fans and press that has contributed to the obvious tension and unease in the camp, instead of accepting that the team are not as good as they once were they constantly whinge as if there's some God given right to be best in the world without having the talent.
The only national disgrace is the treatment Ponting and co. are getting from their loyal "fans"
God given right? What?
This same playing group has beaten South Africa away, and are playing well below their best. It's nothing to do with demanding some automatic right to win every match - but people do expect the players to perform somewhere near to their potential, which is not something I can say about Ponting, Clarke, Katich, Siddle or North in this match, and they've been consistently inconsistent for the last 18 months.
The team is dropping simple catches, making basic errors and chucking pies, and it's not good enough. We expect high standards and this group is capable of better. There is talent in the team (not all-time greats like Warne and McGrath, but still very good cricketers) but they are totally down on confidence. That is not an excuse for accepting mediocrity.

that was an interesting day of play. Good middle session from England.
Marcus North isn't a test number 6. you can't afford to have a feast or famine player sitting in that position - his inconsistency is a big part of why Australia keeps losing Tests. But they can't bloody drop him because he keeps hitting centuries in between his abject failures.
Hussey saved our arses today, and not for the first time. First session tomorrow obviously vital with England taking the new ball.

amused by some English fans and commentators on the Guardian blogs who still don't rate Siddle - he's constantly described as being "workmanlike" or "big-hearted" as a patronising backhanded compliment, or "trundler" who "doesn't move it, isn't quick and doesn't get any bounce" if they're trying to sledge him properly.
He's got better career figures than Stuart Broad, who is apparently awesome and going to dominate Australia's batsmen. Better average, better economy rate, better strike rate, higher average wickets/innings, and now he has a better best bowling figures/innings. And a Test hat-trick.

Peter Roebuck has some sobering opinions for English fans http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/leading-by-examples-the-visitors-are-undermanned-20101123-185n1.html (he is English but lives in Australia, for those who don't know him).
If you read the English papers at the moment you would assume the series has already been won. Like this one: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/nov/23/the-ashes-2010-andy-flower-england

Here's some more details of my stolen Brompton S2:
It was stolen from outside the Brazilian Consulate in Vere St on 22/11/10. It was basically as stock/as shown here other than having bright orange handlebar grips (torn on the right hand - seen in the second photo), an extra-long seatpost, and Schwalbe marathon tyres. It also has/had a knog sticker on the left-hand side of the frame near the main join. The frame number is: OBS/E79313 and it is security coded with AlphaDot. I have reported it to the police.
if anyone comes across it please let me know!
Sadly I missed out on the frame being auctioned, with 6 seconds remaining :(
