Is there anything with no gears (or very few gears) and light-weight for 8, 10 & 12 yr-olds? Islabikes is the nearest I've got, doesn't seem to be any competition.
Why do major manufacturers presume that after the age of eight you need 27 useless gears and would rather do weight-lifting than cycling? My present kids' bikes weigh twice as much as mine, with me on it; they're made of girders.

Bugger. I was just about to ring Witcomb's who are just round my corner to ask for a mudguard eyelet (one of my BJ one's fell off) and to do a chrome job on the chainstays. Is there anyone in London who can do this (particularly the second bit)?
At least Barrie built me a set of wheels for an old ebay Holdsworth. Can I sell them for £1000s now?

What Ant said:
I saw this on another site yesterday.

Just use the lockblock to attatch your torch to the front. Everyone needs a torch.
The Fenix torches are great but you don't get much run time on stun setting.

I ended up with some dhb overshoes which are worn once and rubbish and some sealskinz waterproof socks which are quite good. On balance, I think I'd rather get wet. I like this cold, sunny weather.
BTW, my shabby Commercial Road building (the only building I know which seemed to improve by catching fire) used to only have my old-man's BJ outside it by way of fixed/SS. Now the railings are littered with lo-pro, brakeless fixies and those 3" wide bars. How things have changed.
My best purchase in the last year was the Fenix F-off torch set to stun (now everyone seems to have those too).

I got These dhb. They're ok but overshoes are a bit of a pita and the rain seeps down into them.
If you fit a front mudguard and it doesn't go low enough you just spray more wet onto your shoes.
Try emailing them immediately and then placing an order.
