Hi, I'm a design student at London College of Fashion. I have been cycling in London for 7+ years now and have always been frustrated with the clothing available to women - either it's too girlie, too impractical or too sporty/masculine. So I've decided to base my final collection on clothing for female cyclists. I don't mean high performance gear - rather commuter gear that is both functional, comfortable, intelligent, adaptable and looks good so can be worn on the road and at work. I have a questionnaire which I'd appreciate your feedback on - if you have a minute, please contact me at vanessasmuts@gmail.com and I'll send it over. Thanks in advance!
Hi, there's a bloke who works at the bike shop on Hackney rd who is selling a white Raleigh frame about the right size though not a women's frame but the right size. Also a girl working at Brick Lane Bikes who's thinking of selling her ladies Peugeot frame. I would recommend the two old blokes on Brick Lane market, I picked up an '60s Carlton frame in great nick from there for £60. They often have great ladies bikes and they're not stolen.
