i like rough tracks; i have an advantage on them.

the tread on folding rubinos vs wire bead rubinos is the same, so you mostly improve weight w/ the more expensive one.
the rubinos are nice because they skid easily and consistently.

hands down, the vredestein forteza tricomp is my choice for the front, and the back too if it's my road bike.

the less pricey option would be the maxxis re-fuse. excellent flat protection, trustworthy cornering, and folding for a pretty cheap price. it's good on the rear of the work bike too, as it all but eliminates flats.

I talked a friend of mine out of buying a bike in NYC to take over. Where are there flea markets and decent used bike shops for him? He'd be happy with something basic, like a 3 speed raleigh.

Hey, Austin here. Got a few more questions about London before I catch my flight tonight. What's the theft like here? Mostly I'm curious about how much concern the security of my wheels and parts merit.

Also, does Nextel have a network over here? Wondering if my phone'll be worth bringing.
