thanks. will check. so i don't get cross later. lol.
my road bike is 58cm ctc on the seat tube so guess a 56cm would be a good fit. Imagine the bb is higher too in the cross check so would suit 170mm cranks better too.
thanks @sacredhart . this is why I love the forum. been away too long. living in Scotland but using a London based forum is ok right!! UKFGSS or SFGSS not needed. been over a year since I last visited london (before covid). wonder if it is better or worse to bike round?!
Cheers.

it's great to hear your stories. generous. sharing is caring.
im nearly 40. I don't hang too much on the term 'professional'. i try to make work which is honest and effortful and high quality. i want to leave the world in a better state than i found it through my work. ambitious perhaps the world is wrecked by greed, mistakes and conflict but we can all make some positive changes which help.
I started in community bike shops in Oxford, London and Holland. Loved it; the fixing, building, social aspects and skill-sharing.
Now working in craft stonework (dry stone walling) and landscaping in North East Scotland. I hope to share this work/skill more as I did with bikes. (see my most basic of basic webpages: https://schoolofstone747436741.wordpress.com/ )
keeping learning (beginners mind) and pressing against the edges of my comfort zone works for me. immersive creative work is often it's own reward and enough money is the by product. working with nature is powerful. i never got on with I.T. and don't get me started on A.I. or the rise of the robots.
volunteer in areas which interest you; will lead to friendship and other opportunities. i help with https://www.aberdeenshiretrail.org/ just now which combines my interests and work nicely.
not every day or week works especially when I try and draw comparisons, look for recognition/praise or just have worn out back/joints. but cycling is still such therapy (dodging trees rather than traffic now mostly).
as in cycling and dry stone walling, in life i try to find and maintain balance whilst having fun, looking after myself and others and pulling off the occasional trick.
good luck and be kind (to yourself 1st).

I found the last one 6 years later !! And built it up.
Upgraded stand to Ursus Jumbo.
Will fit a brand new set of Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres and Avid BB5 disc caliper if sold for asking price of £900https://www.instagram.com/p/B3FaWoDF83F0ZCrKhEYVzR6z5glG_UiI2MgufI0/
Such great bikes for city hauling. Built by QBP (Surly mother co.).

morning.
I am having a clear out and rationalising my bike collection. Please follow the above link to preview a very special bike maybe wanting a new home. I just want to measure interest before deciding to sell. (I have a bike reservation 1 way from Aberdeen to London on June 6th so I'm bringing something to ride and sell on before returning on 10th).
Peace.

lovely.
yes me too. generally a good ride = losing myself as described above. Of note is Dunwich Dynamo's but not with too much beer at approx 3am. Also experienced euphoria and elation after an especially warm Ride of The Falling Leaves in maybe 2011 when rolling back into HHVD.
Also definitely when using/grazing shrooms and riding. So pleasant.

Hi people!
Haven't been on here for time!! I am out in the sticks now but have good wi-fi!
Getting settled here in rural Aberdeenshire Scotland at last. My partner took a good job at http://ssw.org.uk which is a great artist residency space and makers workshop. I'm mostly dadding our 2 year old and doing bike workshop stuff in the sheds (wheelbuild and maintenance classes and some guiding).
I have just updated my https://www.warmshowers.org/user/158374 Warm Showers profile. Its a cool resource and if you do any sort of multi-day riding it is probably worth joining.
Really fine riding up here but not tonnes of places to stay so gis a shout if you want to stop in. Whisky trail definitely worth following by bike. Lots of forest to explore and Cairngorms NP is not far to south west of here.
Ride good friends.

We love it too but moving north at short notice and would like a reasonably quick sale.
Its guided at 240-260k and offers over 250k would be preferred. Its not quite there...we had a baby daughter 1.5 years ago and didn't want her living in a building site. That said its totally signed off as completed with building control. Could use a sexy kitchen and bathroom refit, some more Sandtex masonary paint, door handles (!) to upstairs doors and I might consider relocating the stove to the ground-floor reception room as this would better heat the entire space and this would make space for a third upstairs bedroom.
Also Medway is possibly one of the last affordable parts of Kent within an hours commute to LDN now that Thanet is getting filled out with DFL's priced out of the market there. Its in line with other 2 beds in the area.
Its is a lot of space for not a lot of money which is why we moved out of our overcrowded house share in Peckham. Nobody there appreciated my tyre pile.
Sure. What's best ? Call, email or zoom?
