really don't know whether this should be in porn or antiporn, but i've gone for porn simply because of the possibilities (read the link).

Was pootling around Clapham yesterday and came across a small design studio/gallery showing an exhibition of wheel-themed art and design. Well it wasn't earth shattering but worth a look if you're passing by.
Best thing: 'free range pen' - a little rig attached to a pen and a motor with an off-balance load. It dithers around on a piece of paper like a little washing machine,
leaving a doodle behind it.Worst thing: tragically hip Nike 'fixie', complete with: white deep v's, white chain, white everything else, risers, leather top tub protector, with down tube and seat tube protectors thrown in for good measure, twisted spoke lacing etc.
At least they'll let you bring your bike in - in most cases, it will put the Nike to shame..

Plus anything with Liz Hurley, Monica Bellusci and of course Madonna are always shite
my mum was in that guy ritchie film 'revolver' or whatever it was. real bad i thought. sharp dialogue though.
Put them together and you get Swept Away. I know the guy who edited it. It's not his fault. He's the first to admit it's an absolute boiler.
Atrocious script + slightly over the hill Madonna = exruciating, embarrasing viewing experience. -

this kind of thing makes me want to adjust the colour balance on my eyes.

that was too cool - a perfect afternoon.
thanks to teenslain for organising it!re pciture below: how'd you get such a weird depth of field? Was it a large format camera with a digital back or what? Looks like the image plane was tilted sideways.

You know what?? I used to use one of them for chains, cutting stuff straight, and, of course, it's in Oz.
You have no idea the number of times I've needed a steel edge and thought "fuck I wish I had my steel rule!". I'm gonnasteal one from workbuy immediately!!(I'm still gonna buy the Park chain wear tool.. because I just want one :) )
haha. this is what flat-mates are for.
mark, if you ever read this (unlikely), I will get my own soon, honestly :) -

I believe that was oddsock, I just saw him in there too... Hello oddsock! Where were you t-4003? Were you the guy outside messin' abaht with a white bike?
Indeed - reciprocally spotted teenslain in Condor on thursday!
Been building the Fort for what seems like forever (well 6 months anyway). Will post a piccy once I've sorted out the stem - the frame is bit long and low at the front but I'm trying to avoid having a ridiculous beanstalk of a stem.
Also spotted a chap in the Ritzy this afternoon - I'm sorry - now I know your real name but i've forgotten your forum name...

You see that thing in the top left saying "Posts"... click it :)
Gradually getting used to the new forum - thanks to VB for putting such a lot of good work into it, and I do agree that the new features will be needed as the forum gets bigger.
After getting over the difference per se, I still think that it is somehow a bit less perspicacious than old one - it's just minor things:
someone already mentioned that in the 'Posts' view, it no longer says how many new posts there are since you last looked.
I'm still using the 'Posts' view as my main page, so yesterday I tried making a bookmark directly to 'Posts' on my Firefox tool bar. The problem was that the URL was a search which is no longer valid today - could we have a stable URL for 'Posts'?
On the old forum, you could be in the middle of a page of posts, and if you forgot the title of the thread, you could look in the URL and the title would be sort of readable in that. I found that quite useful as I usually open lots of tabs for the different threads and then go through them. I'm not sure how you would make this information always visible in the new forum without using some sort of evil frames, but it would be a 'nice to have'.
Brief thread resurrection/hijack here - anyone tried the oven cleaner trick? I scratched up my seat post. Have now sanded and polished out the scratches, but it's a toss up as to whether it looks better or worse now. It would be ok if I could re-anodise the polished bit. Pure vanity I know but it's really annoying me...
