i have only met one fixed rider in leeds but seen a couple more about.
did see some suicide bike that was green with deep v's and flat clipless bmx pedals without breaks on the parkinson steps. didnt see a rider and wasnt locked up???

i have a chrome and although it has no easy access pockets its a good and not too expensive bag.

id love a grobag but cant justify the need to spend that much money when im cycling 10 minutes to uni with a few books.

i use a kryptoflex to secure my back wheel to frame and then a kryptonite ny 3000 which i i absolutely love.

probably going to get a mini kryptonite which will take up less space in my bag than the kryptoflex.

invest in good locks! a guy i know had his mtb stolen in leeds city centre and when i asked if he had a good lock he didnt have a clue about whether locks were good or not DICK!
i have good locks but i cant really do anything about the cunt who keeps leaving our bike cellar open at my halls.

i ride a conversion because it was all i could afford and was too eager to wait and save for a track bike.

my conversion has cost me fucking loads by adding little things to it like nitto bars(god knows why) but i do love it:)

i had never ridden fixed before i bought a converted road bike with a flip flop hub
thinking i could just ride singlespeed if i didnt like fixed.
i have never used the freewheel and fixed is definately the better way.
i think i convinced myself i would like and then found i actually did if that makes any sense?
as for brakeless, i did it for a week because i did not have a brake lever and then stuck a front one on.
its good to have it for safety but i think i may ditch it one day.

yeah true. i was thinking the same but the chain is so rusty im not sure it could even be ridden?

not trying to hijack the topic but im running 700x23 but could i run 700x25 on the same rims for a bit more of a comfy ride?

there is an old road bike locked up at my uni, it has been in the same place with two flat tyres for two months and im thinking about going down at night and sawing the lock off.

its got a very rusty chain and needs some tlc but i have a mate who is in need of a bike and wants a road bike.
what do you think about contacting the uni's security guys and asking them about it, but i think they will just tell me to piss off and think im weird?

any pointers?
