Hi folks - still hoping to start building my first fixie before the winter hits, so this is my second shout-out to the good people of londonfgss: Am looking for a small frame, pref Reynolds 531 tubing, 49-52cm max. Live in a dodgy area so would definitely prefer something tatty/unattractive to the average thief in search of 'name brand' bikes.

Anyone know a decent East-West (Hackney - Ealing) route?

As an MTB/Commuter/non-scene dilletante, I would like to express my amazement at some of the distances posted here. You guys must live on your bikes! All BS aside and in the Hackney vernacular - 'Respeck'.

I've ordered lots of stuff from http://www.nashbar.com (I get my ex to send it to me over here), but it all depends on what you're looking for.

Be aware that anything over £36 is subject to VAT. I get the stuff sent to my ex and have her remove all packaging etc. No probs so far..

I've posted this on other threads, so apologies if you are reading it for the 2nd (or possibly 3rd) time. I've been trawling e-bay for quite a while now and am getting absolutely nowhere, so does anyone on here know where I can get hold of a well-worn 49cm track frame? Would like to get it resprayed etc (for that 'bare' look) and then build it at my leisure. Not much of a bike-head so nothing to swap, but beer I can provide!

I am normally a perfect size 42, but both my Sidi's are 43 and fit like a glove.

If you're not sure, go try a pair for size before hitting the 'bay!
