Hi, I've got a complete bike (in bits) and two frames up for grabs. Pick up from Mitcham (near Tooting), evening only - it must be this week before Friday.
1. Bridgestone Submariner
This a pretty innovative bike - stainless steel tubes, pushed into aluminium lugs, oval chainset, flipflop hub (5speed or fixed!), circa 1960s.
It's in bits, just needs someone interested in a project. Come interesting bits.
2. Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo 2
Frame, forks and there should be a matching stem.
3. Moulton Deluxe
Frame and forks, I'm pretty sure there's a rear rack and stays, plus maybe a wheel and mudguards.
Tris.

I did it in May about 5 years ago over two weeks (1000 miles). I wore a merino base layer and arm warmers everyday. I used longs, a wooly hat and a long sleeve jersey on top of everything a few times.
I can't remember everywhere we stayed, but highly recommend the Sparrowhawk hostel in Moretonhamstead and the youth hostel at Helmsdale.Enjoy.

£30 for everything. Thanks.

Try Camber to Rye to Lydd - a lot of it is on cycle lanes. Definitely head for Dungeness, it's worth the detour. Up along the coast to Folkestone is OK, some of it cycle lane. You might find some back road routes, check Sustrans. Sorry, I don't know north of Deal. Inland there are beautiful empty lanes made for cycle touring.
