@eyebrows @jim1985 If you like a very traditional, hard italian roast then he's yer man. Cracking for a stovetop but it won't be the most subtle coffee you've had. The shop is great tho and he's got some interesting regulars

Are you happy that the grind is dialled in to get you the shot you want? You can sometimes get clumping if you're grinding too fine.
I don't really get it with mine and it might just be the burrs are settling down.[There's an awful lot of metal on metal in the grinder and once this has been 'seasoned' with the natural oils from the beans then static is less of a problem]. Opinion seems to be that it takes a few kilos of beans through the machine before it settles down
If you do need to break up the clumps then I find a few sharp taps on the side of the portafilter with the tamper will do that anyway and it's something I do to level off the grounds in the basket pre-tamping anyway.

@skinny yup. when I first got it you'd get different doses on the same timer setting - it's settled down now as per my post [I still weigh every one though 'cos I'm a sad git] - They're at a really good price on the Bella Barista site at the mo

@skinny I've had the Eureka 65 for a while now. As Steve mentioned I wasn't that impressed with the dosing consistency [grind is fine]. My observations
• it takes a while for the burrs to bed in
• Clean the burrs every 2 to 3 months [dead easy job]
• I have a make up brush just to sweep grinds off the machine etc. After every grind I rattle the handle of the make up brush up the chute to displace any loose grinds ready for the next grindI'm getting a difference in dosage of about 0.2 to 0.3 grams now which I think is perfectly acceptable
