I haven't a clue where the route sheet is but about twenty years ago I had a 110 mile route from Bexleyheath.
Basic route, roughly from memory is 'Bexleyheath, Orpington, Otford, Wrotham, Wrotham Heath, West Malling, East Malling, Wateringbury, Yalding, Hunton, Sutton Valance, Pye Corner, Egerton Forstal, Egerton, Charing Heath, Pluckley, Bethersden, Smarden, Headcorn, Cross at Hand, Collier Street, Laddingford, East Peckham, Hadlow, Crouch, Wrotham Heath, Kemsing, Otford, Eynsford, Swanley, Bexleyheath'.
It wouldn't take much to push that to 200km, nothing in Kent is totally flat but it is not heavy climbing, I used to ride it on 72" fixed

I organise the Catford CC Hill Climb now and 54 entries is the lowest for a long time, I was chatting to Gary Beckett organiser for the Bec Hill Climb and we have both heard from other organisers and Dave Hayward event photographer that entries have been very low across all Time Trials this year, a real shame.

I started wearing them in 1981 after a trip through a windscreen on an old Mk2 Ford Zephyr, driver over cooked a bend smashed into a Volvo estate pushing that in to a Vauxhall Cavalier pushing them both about six foot.
It just felt like banging my head against a door, old toughened screen just shattered, luckily I got away with twelve stitches in one eyelid, four on the bridge of my nose and ten in my wrist where glass got under my watch strap, I lost sensation in my scalp for about ten months as the feeling gradually came back was the weirdest, half the time it is luck if you survived. :D -

& @paulbiche cheers , I can't remember where I first saw the idea but just knew they were going on, two cheap spanner sets for a tenner to get a matching pair :)

Exactly why I did a DIY build, I already had an 8 x 6 and 10' x 6' shed either side of the garden the 10 x 6 was falling apart after 20 years and the 8 x 6 needed so much extra wood to strengthen it it cost a quarter as much again.
As I wanted a proper workshop I could work in I decided to build a 3m x 4m workshop between them, to buy something would have been £5k upwards in 2020 so I decided to build one myself with some decent sized timber including 45mm floor boards, the whole build cost me £1250, that included ironmongery and roof felt, being a lanky git I did it with a gable roof for head clearance :) Lockdown provided the opportunity and luckily I got the essential bits before the price hike.
Tools, Table saw, circular saw, nail gun, caulking gun, general woodwork tools

I did a course that included this system on BMW and it is surprising you have to be foot down no reaction for it too work , we had a cardboard cut out stood in the car park we had to drive at and he got run over more than we stopped because, we knew and could see it when driving at it you think this isn't going to stop in time, the second you react by lifting the throttle off the ecu thinks no need for me they have seen it and bang under the car it goes but be brave keep your foot planted and the car slams the brakes on so hard if you didn't have a belt on you would be kissing the screen :D

Yes, a lovely bloke, he fixed my bikes and I did his cars, he got ill during lock down and with only phone appointments for a year his cancer was missed until it was too late 😪 sadly his father passed away two months after and his brother Paul took his own life shortly after that 😢 both were good riders, Pete was mechanic on the UK Milk Race and his brother had won our Catford Hill Climb in the past.

My new daily an E46 318i Sport Touring, this belonged to a good friend Peter Elliott who owned Welling Cycles, his widow always said I would get first chance to buy it when she sold it and now it is mine, good condition for the age and well specced.
My 335i E30 Touring is still going well, ULEZ restricts it to special occaisions so far but we are moving to Whitstable soon and it well get more use down there :)
I finally have a stock of M-Tech 2 tailgate spoilers that I had made as a copy of my original that has finished it off. -
Buy a Faraday pouch and a steering lock, I have a couple from MyLoque

Definitely, last year a woman drove her Range Rover in to the back of my freshly restored E30, I was horrified after the shunt seeing a Range Rover grille in my rear view mirror, she was wearing flip flops and got them caught and braked late.
I was very luck the bumper absorbed the impact and I managed to polish out the scratches and only needed a new light lense and bumper mounts.

If you know there is a leak in the system you have to fill it with Nitrogen and use a special detector to find the leak, only once it is fixed and holds nitrogen pressure can you empty it and refill with AC gas and by all means add UV dye then to assist future leak detection.
Most common faults are stone damage to condensers at the front of the car, have a look with a torch and see if you can spot any damage, it will usually show as an oily patch were AC compressor oil has also leaked out, even worth using a UV light in case it previously had dye in the system.

Thermostat sticking open was the common cause of not warming up.
