A lovely 55cm square race frame made in Deptford in 1969 that sadly had a head-on collision with a recklessly-driven taxi. The fork is toast, but the frame still seems solid and I can’t detect any rippling on the downtube or top tube. Headset cups fit very loosely, but I can’t remember if it was like that before anyway. I’ll happily hang it on my wall, but if anyone thinks they can extract more value from it, it’s free to collect in Bristol BS5.

Ignore the above. I’m now after a track frame, 55cm square or thereabouts. Preference for vintage steel but not totally opposed to alloy. Would consider an old road frame too as long as it’s got long dropouts and is 120mm spaced. Clearance for 25s. Doesn’t have to have a fork if it’s 1” threaded. I’ve got £200 to spend and I’m still in Bristol.

This is a hodgepodge of retro parts with a modernish 1x drivetrain.
It’s a 19” Grisley frame (Columbus Aelle OR) with forks off a Gary Fisher (1 1/8” steerer, sealed bearing headset, Head Doctor). Condition is ratty but solid.
The wheels came off a Zaskar. They’re LX hubs, which are ok following a service if not exactly butter smooth. Dunno what the rims are but there’s life in them.
Brakes are Avid Single Digit Vs. There’s just clearance for these 26x2.1 knobblies. You might get a size bigger in with some Billy Bonkers or similar.
Drivetrain is mostly modernish Sunrace 1x stuff (clutched mech!) with the exception of the shifter which is Deore. 10 speed. 11-46 cassette with a 38 nw on the front so masses of range. The crank is an old Ultegra Octalink (165mm) which clears the chainstay by a Rizla.
Bars are off an old Marin, the stem is quite a nice cromo number. Grips are Deathgrips. I’m keeping the Turbo saddle and the inner bar ends. I can stick some flat pedals and a different saddle on if required.
I built this as a pub bike but it’s proved more capable than that and I’ve done a lot of gravel on it. I’ll be sad to say it go but something else has caught my eye and I’m now in one-in-one-out territory. For this I’d quite like £175, collected in Bristol, BS5.

Fixie miles from Bristol to Tewkesbury. It should’ve been Worcester but I ran out of daylight after having to detour around a road that had become a river.
