he's deluded if he thinks what he says he thinks, that the Russians will accept anything short of unconditional surrender / them dictating the terms and taking whatever territory they want / where the population will vote for it (ie Odessa, karkov, etc).
That is why I think Ukrainians (and their supporters) should not be so pessimistic about a Trump presidency. His ceasefire plans are unworkable and negotiations are likely to last a lot longer thant 24 hours. This favours Ukraine because Putin's insane wartime spending cannot continue indefinitely and Trump will not lift sanctions until Putin agrees to his deal. Trump wanted to take troops out of Afghanistan as soon as he became president. It actually took 4 years.

Germany has frozen military aid to Ukraine, for 'budgetary' reasons, and certainly not because of pressure from the pro-Russian element in Berlin.
Meanwhile Biden is 'considering' sending long range weapons to Ukraine that could be used inside Russia. Biden must be looking to his legacy now that he won't have another 4 years of 'escalation management.'

I'm sure Ukraine would have done this sooner but getting permission from the Biden administration to cross yet another red line is always an excruciatingly slow process.
There are no experienced soldiers to spare in Russia. The experienced ones are assigned to protect vital infrastructure in the likes of Moscow and St Petersburg. Moving soldiers from the front line back to Rusaia is obviously what Ukraine wants and for that reason I don't think Putin will do it. That's why he looks so furious because he has no answer.

It's a massive embarrassment to Russia that it has to beg India to produce ammo. Lack of manpower due to the meat grinder, lack of resources (especially microprocessors) due to sanctions, air strikes and sabotage mean that Russia's days as one of the world's biggest arms exporter are becoming a distant memory. It also demonstrates (if anyone was in doubt) that Modi has no moral compass, much like Erdogan.
