"Selling on ebay with a; 'buy it now price with best offer', it is normal practice to list the item for more than you actually want"
No. If you actually just wanted to sell it and not make a profit you would list the lower price as the buy it now price, not a speculative 'buy it now with best offer' hoping someone will just pay the higher price."This forum listing was hardly thronging with replies, dibs and other users'"
If I'm not mistaken the item was sold quickly, people won't dibs if the OP has replied as sold and not 'provisionally sold to' etc etc. The frame was good price, it would have sold to someone else.I never insinuated that any crime had taken place. It was simply an extreme example to illustrate how stupid your statement was to imply that because there had been no financial gain there could be no 'wrongdoing'.

If 'The whole point is; it doesn't seem to have been sold for any more money' yet the original asking price was £450 (£200 more than the purchase price), surely your point is moot?
If you rob a bank but you accidentally drop the money whilst making your escape are you suddenly innocent of your crimes because you didn't turn a profit?
It's entirely possible that they bought it with the best intentions then changed their mind but a simple 'changed my mind, anyone want this for what I paid' post would have someone at your door to collect within a few days. That's not more taxing than creating an eBay listing and offering postage. Original intention or not the idea was to make money.

Supposedly sold by PIZZ, which is a genuine company.
Seems cheaper on their website although I can't see shipping cost.

They also made an Instagram post recently saying they had stock.
Never actually bought anything from them myself but I've seen their components and frames around before. Price doesn't look wildly off or anything like that so no reason for me to think it's not genuine but probably worth a little more digging before you purchase. There seems to be the odd size in stock here or there from UK/European shops if you search around though.

It's not NJS, it's not intended as a track crankset (130bcd).
