They’ve lost their lustre, frankly. Used to be good for travel but now hardly worth it unless you travel a lot to certain destinations.

A big selling point of platinum cards was additional cards for family who could then use priority pass lounges at airports, but now they have to pay. Centurion lounges have also dropped noticeably in quality in the past 15 or so years, as has the concierge.

Some of the results:

The fork would be a bit heavier than the non electric version, although I guess you could sell those as well;

If you use reflectors, they’d need purchasing and installing.

Labour intensive work to remove it all, somewhat intensive to put non electrics on.

I figure it reduces fuel consumption if people can buy their groceries, books, fishing boats, garden furniture, electronics, and guns all in one place.

Siri used to have more of a personality but the ethics folks behind the scenes realised they were blurring the lines of reality too much for people who were treating Siri as if it were a person, so they made it less ‘human’. A similar thing has happened with ChatGPT.

How big is the cut? If +8mm or on the side wall, replace, it’s not worth the hassle of an eventual puncture.

They’re made in Taiwan by a good Taiwanese company, I rate them highly. I’d wager the threads are ISO metric vs. Brompton’s imperial crap. No idea why it was so cheap, but if it’s as good inside as it looks on the outside, I expect you’ll be pleased with your purchase soon enough.

I’ve found sending them a message via their website is effective; you can ask them, if you don’t have a thread pitch gauge and/or can’t confirm the sizing online.

Managed to break the front axle hook on my p line electric today. Called 5 shops, no one’s got one. Brompton’s website doesn’t list them, nor does anyone else’s by the look of it.

Long shot but anyone have one they’d sell? Can’t fully use the bike without the front wheel staying put when folded.
