Haha can relate to this! I went through a similar looking one at 6am a few years back and didn’t see it as it was dark. The water fully submerged a son dynamo and rohloff hub as well as the BB but all seemed to survive to my amazement.
Did you make it right the way through? How high was the water and how did the bike fare?

A friend of mine has managed to keep a basket of fire chilli plant going for two years and it kept producing fruit all through the winter inside. It may pick up!
If people have well established mature plants they can be brought in and kept at 10c as other people have said. Also, pruned right back and then when the spring starts they will start to sprout again. It’s also possible to trim the routes in spring and plant in fresh compost but they do take a while to rejuvenate.
I found it worked well trying to keep the whole plant alive on a sunny window sill if that’s an option

Hi!
Just seen your post about fitting the mudguards to the steamroller, you’re not wrong about requiring patience. Not sure how much the local bike shop would have charged as taken about three days to fit the rear one and still the front stays to go! Just wondering what sort of clips you used on the front forks please? Grateful for any pointers, trying to fit Berthoud mudguards… thanks

Hi,
Trying to fit mudguards onto the Steamroller atm, have got some Berthoud mudguards although found they weren’t compatible with the p clips and they would require getting an addition sort of fitting to fix the stays to the p clips (from SJS). Just wondering whether anyone had put Berthouds on their Steamroller who may have some pointers please? Or if anyone has any pointers would also be grateful, although mindful that there seem not to be a standardised fixtures in the world of mudguards! Thanks
