Dear All
I am having issues with leaking oil from the drive side of my Alfine 11. I am replacing the relevant seals/dust cap etc but see on YouTube that some Alfine 11 users replace the oil with a NLGI 1.5 - 1.0 Lithium grease. It sounds like a good option to rid my self of ill leaks and seems to run effectively whatever the seasonal temperatures.
Just wondering if anyone out there has done anything similar?

So, what I was told by the nice people at Brooks England is that with some models, there is a chance of the rails snapping, but not the B17.
In essence, if you buy a new saddle and it comes with seatpost fittings, that is the guidance from Brooks to use those fittings. If your new saddle does not come with any fittings, you can use whatever seatpost you want.
If you but a second hand Brooks saddle and are unsure as to which seatpost to use, contact Brooks England on 0121 565 2992! -

Anyone heard of Brooks saddle rails snapping if not fitted in a side clamp seat post (as opposed to a top and bottom clamp)?
Trying to fit a lush old silver railed B17 to my current audax project and have been told that not using the old style side clamp post WILL result on the rails snapping.
I have been using a B17 with top and bottom clamp for a number of years in all weathers but am told it is only a matter of time.
Any thoughts?? -

Thank you all. Some good info and some stuff I had not considered re the Spa Mono. - too long, too low.
Could be that the Brother is the main contender? Not available until August.
Thanks BJF re the Flyer but I need 56/58.
Also considered the Charge Grater SS but can't find one. Not steel I know but ticks other boxes.
Any thoughts on the Grater?? -
