My lack of headset knowledge naively assumed the internal diameter of the spacers would nicely fit on the 1" nitto quill adapter? But as you said seems like the chances of this working out are small. And there is also going to be a nasty junction between the locknut and the spacer.
Yeah BMX quill stem seems to be another good option. Just not into how skinny those quills look when poking so far out of the headtube, bit giraffe like. Although this is definetely the most economical option agreed.
Secondly could be leaning towards getting a 1" threadless fork instead, somehow always manage to naturally lean towards the more expensive option....

Have a very ugly quill stem adapter on a current Muddyfox Pathfinder MTB (image below). Am looking to go full Stridsland and convert this into a build with a bmx stem and a set of the Anchor Bars I have.
Issue is im 6'4" so need the height of the quill stem adapter to be raised, but hate the look of them. Ideally i'd buy a quill stem adapter like this and run a load of spacers on it to achieve a similar look to this
a) is this even doable?
b) what size spacers would I need? 1" ?
c) do i need a different headset altogether to run the spacers neatly from the top cover?I know it's probably a dumb idea and totally unnecessary, but i'm into the freak build.

My first gravel bike bought back in 2020. Has had good use but remains in great condition thanks to Surly’s build quality. A few scratches and marks here and there from general wear but signs of a bike well loved and ridden on surfaces it is made for.
This bike has been maintained with love and care and taken for regular services and check-ups. The cassette is in good condition with 2 brand new sprockets from the last wheel service. Chain also very new and in good condition. The wheels have been recently serviced, trued and cleaned as part of a full service on the bike in July last year. Since then I have been riding another wheel-set so these are essentially fresh from the service. The tires are setup tubeless with sealant inside. The gravelking tires still have plenty of life left in them.
There are some marks on the paintwork from cable wear which is taken into consideration on the price. Fitted with SwissStop pads that also have plenty of life left in them.
Great entry-level gravel bike for people looking to use it across all surfaces and conditions. I have ridden this as a commuter, road bike, gravel bike and bike packing bike for weekend long trips. It has always been incredibly reliable and sturdy, everything you would expect from a Surly.

I have 2 sets of Nitto M18 struts for sale in black. I accidentally ordered a second pair from Blue Lug in Japan which I don't need. Therefore I have the original 255mm lengths and a spare set of 300mm extender struts in black.
I couldn't find these anywhere for sale in UK or Europe so paid the £30 price for delivery from Japan. Selling to just try and recuperate some of the cost.
Looking for £15 per pair.
I reckon can get the spacers and nitto stem adapter to work nicely. Is there anyway of getting a cleaner finish on the locknut? This Nitto cable hanger looks pretty smart, but guessing it would still have to sit inbetween the locknut?
