hello, I'm really stuck trying to find somewhere who can have a go at helicoiling my crank thru-axle. the thread is an m18 and many shops I've spoken to say they don't have this size and are not sure about buying a kit just for my job. Winston Vaz, bless his heart, said I wasn't by any means the first person who had asked him about this and said try a forum. De Ver's mechanic who presides over the helicoil kit is away. it's a BB30 axle with, I reckon, plenty of meat on it so drilling the thread out and retapping won't cause a snap (famous last words/litigation getout)
edit: having looked into this a bit i think it might be worth trying to retap without drilling out and helicoiling. the tap i need will be an m18x 1 i think. does anyone have or know who might be able to help with this if not a helicoil? -

Hello! I need to hire a van this Friday, there seems to be a few options, none of which I can make clear distinctions about. I need to be able to get hold of it easily from SE5; not worry about ULEZ; return it to somewhere in Kent (not decided where yet); cheap and easy to drive. I have a normal clean licence

This is a great, comfy long-distance bike. It has a full 105 groupset and has been serviced recently with new cables, and rear wheel hub and freehub bearings. I also have a new bb for you as I think this will need doing soonish if not now.
The wheels themselves are upgraded to fulcrum racing 7s with admittedly well used tyres. It needs a clean and I have done something random with the bartape so bit embarrassed to do pics but will happily provide them on request
£460, in SE5 -

Currently no plans to sell the cranks - I'm planning on building one new bike in place of two and these are destined for that. However, money talks so if they worth a bit, which I doubt given they're quite scuffed, I'd consider it. Thanks !
