surly steamrollers should take more that 48t, I ride one with 49t , 8bar track cranks with HT2 bb (I believe these are rebranded andel or something something taiwan) and there's plenty of space left. hope the pic helps a little

it is the contrast between the velobike chainring (olympic bling) and your choice of tyres (tufo=not bling), as tufos will get you no respect in this forum, you should immediately change to at least conti sonderklasse or vittoria pista oro

rule of thumb is : always check ERD yourself to avoid double spending on spokes(if you dont have a spoke cutter). for the slotted nipple: do you want your spoke sitting on the bottom of the "nipple flange" or you want the spoke all the way to the top where the threads end? some people like to have the slot not filled all the way up for a little more "wiggle room" for future wheel truing / maintenance comfort. as long as its a normal nipple seat at the rim (so that you can see and true the nipple from the outside) you can get away with not calculating extra clearance.

yes there are specific rims that are drilled for 2:1 (or just straight drilled rims with no left/right orientation exist too), your rim with alternating hole orientations would cause some problems with the 2:1 pattern.

you sure that you can't separate one of the bb cups? maybe seized due to dirt ?

I do not have the deep wisdom about tubesets, enik were built with either tange or columbus tubes, and the range goes from the cheapest city bikes to custom geo, select everything yourself.

soo, instead of opening another thread I just add to this one: I found a relatively cheap fameset on kleinanzeigen, sloppy paintjob, hung ages in some storage, but the chromed track ends and fork crown looked promising. The seller confirmed that it's an Enik frameset, and he painted it himself. most likeky Columbus SP tubing, it has a 27.0 seatpost, no spiralling reinforcements inside the seattube. it came with a BB-UN90 bb in 107mm flavor, absolutely perfect (it's a 90s XTR bb) as it has sealed bearings. I quickly put this together with Factory5 crankset, Miche chainring, ellipse wheels and borrowed the pedals off a buddy for the first shakedown ride.

  it's by no means a winter bike, or a commuter, I just wanted a fun bike and this looks and feels peak 2012 fixehskidder with the silly narrow bars and 47/18.

it is a bit complicated with the Velodrom, the local clubs get their own training slots and you as a single rider from somewhere else need some kind of race license to train there. do you know a local rider that could take you with him/her maybe?

silver spokes ! the rims seem to be quite matte and black spokes tend to be glossy so I think it would be too many shades of black

I borrowed a track wheelset of a friend and we took some photos. I think he wants to sell the rear disc wheel(no lockring threading).

the bianchi got a drivetrain overhaul. it is now 1by with a 44t in the front and a 15-25 cassette, before it was rocking a double 52/34 combo that gave either ultra high gears or some 50000 rpm nonsense. and I'm testing swept back bars, the flat bar was okay but not the comfiest.

you can ride cycle path or thru the forest to Liepnitzsee, there is a smaller lake (Gorinsee) a few km before it, if you want to have a snack break. And right next to Leipnitzse is Waldsiedlung, a former closed community for GDR politians and their families (they had to secretly separate the trash from Waldsiedlung bc it contained so many western products that they feared that the local population would realize that their political leaders were fucking them over) if you're interested in some history bits

just use some carbon brake pads and you should be fine. I heard the corima ones have the least abrasive effect on the brake tracks

for me, it looks like just the top layer of clear coat thats flaking, you can check if there are any loose fibres sticking out of these areas and if not, the wheel should be good to use further.

something triple butted would be my first choice, e.g. DT alpine III or similar.

whoah, you got some nice goodies in your parts bin. personally I wouldn't put the c-record bits on the bianchi and rather on your argos.

I have both a DT Swiss spoke holder and a small bit of wood with a cut in it, made with a narrow sawblade. both hold bladed spokes well.
