How about a heftier option?
Wellgo LU-087U https://www.merlincycles.com/wellgo-b087u-platform-pedal-53356.htmlThey’ve been on my Brom for 11 years, never gone wrong and needed zero maintenance, though at some point the reflectors left the party.

Consider a Joseph Kuosac 100mm mid riser (600mm wide) instead of Brompton one. SJS are UK stockist: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/handlebars/joseph-kuosac-handlebar-for-bromptons-mid-rise-254mm-clamp-silver/
I’ve been using one on my H6R since 2019 and it gives a better riding position IMO.
I’d read that for an H stem if I kept the bars full width (ie: no trimming) I didn’t need to trim the cables. Well on a test ride after fitting I felt 600 was too wide so I trimmed them to 560mm and didn’t need to trim the cables. Maybe you won’t need to trim the cables if you get the M cables and keep the 600 width.

I had the B&M 2C rechargeable (bought from Brilliant Bikes £22, now £33). It lasted 2.5 years mounted on the brake bridge reflector mount (I’d gone from H6R to H6L) then the micro USB port died, basically I noticed it rattled when I tried to insert the cable, the orange charge light would briefly come on then instantly go out again. I tried many different positions to get a solid connection, but short of staying perfectly still and holding it for 2+ hours was a no-no.
Bought a B&M Senso as replacement (also from Brilliant Bikes), then learnt online it might be not so good long term. I had to reverse the bolts on the Brom rack in order to fit (bolt heads inwards, nuts on outside of rack, went back to H6R mode) as clearance was non-existent (feared I might break light trying to get battery cover on & off).
I was using 2C in addition to Exposure Trace & TraceR for daytime rides (got an Exposure Strada 800 for dark) though @amey will prob say ‘Dyno’ (I’ve been a forum lurker for a while). Did actually buy Brom SP Dyno wheel with front & rear lights and cabling from fleabay, though never got round to fitting.

Hello everyone,
I’ve just joined the forum after being an active ‘lurker’ for many years, having picked up many useful tips along the way, so many thanks.Unable to sleep, I had a quick look at fleabay to see what bonkers prices scrotes are flogging Broms for and spotted a modded Chpt3 S2E-X seemingly identical to one of Ryan’s recent posted jobs.
Re post #9326 from Ryan Hobbs
That Chpt3 S2E-X you modded for a customer with a bunch of Joseph Kuosac parts is currently on eBay under reference 154097476663 and name ‘eastindiatradingco’. The seller even posted your shop photos after their own. Currently at £1,030.00I sincerely hope that after cv-19 these profiteers get stuck with bikes they can’t flog, but I suppose that’s just wishful thinking?
Regards,
John
