Thanks - there was planning permission granted - did see that on the Searches so it wasn't a huge surprise (but had expected the neighbour to mention it before starting).
@Grumpy_Git - will the Council know about a PWA? I assumed it was just a bilateral agreement.
Thanks for confirming that I need to ask for one asap.

Having just bought a small semi, with vague plans to knock a wall out and stick a box on the back, I've been hoovering up the advice in this thread - thanks all!
The other semi have just started works on a (pretty ugly but hey) box to extend the space in the roof. I'm not against the works really - live and let live with our future plans hopefully.
Question is: should I be requesting a party wall agreement? It's a bit late I guess: they're already up there and rebuilding the (shared) parapet but only started last week on ~10w project...
Any experience on post-start PWAs?

So I dug out the little trench next to my external wall (cos the driveway was laid too high - up to the air bricks...) and still have some rising damp inside.
Anyone got experience excavating the crap out of their cavity walls (there's no insulation... But I suspect a lot of debris/run-off). Any tips?

Anyone got experience with Gaya e-cargo/kid carriers?
https://gaya.bike/
Looking for a 1 kid suitable bike to share with my wife. Assuming Tern/Benno is out of budget, what else should I be looking at? Mycle? Radwagon? Btwin?
Will we regret not getting a high-end one over the long-term? -
I want to improve my loft insulation, but good chance I'll get a conversion done in the next couple of years so I don't want to spend too much effort on it.
The place is part-boarded, with a thin scattering of vermiculite and some ancient styrofoam boards between rafters. It doesn't do much.
Any suggestions for a time-efficient job that will do for a couple of years?
