Messengers and commuters what are in your experience the most durable pants. I like to wear something with a more urban style. I have tried Duer jeans. They last a bit longer than 511’s but I don’t think they are that durable. I’ve tried the Chrome shorts, quite durable. Brannan pants look alright too. Any others?

I read that the French BB are prone to get loose, I’m worried it would be even worse on a fixed gear because I wanted to ride brakeless.
Do the threadless BBs have the same problem?
I was looking at this crankset https://www.retro-gression.com/products/andel-classic-track-crankset.

I purchased a PX10 bike and would like to convert it to fixed gear, but I read that these bikes from the 70s use french threading in the BB which makes it difficult to convert. I have very little knowledge of mechanics. Did anyone successfully convert a PX10 to fixed gear? What are the components I need to use?

According to the specs it can https://geometrygeeks.bike/bike/cinelli-mash-bolt-1-0-2009-2012/.
I purchased one that comes with 25 tyres and the clearance on the front is so tiny I am skeptical I can fit 28 tyres. -

The tool above is https://www.retro-gression.com/products/shimano-tl-sr22-track-chainwhip-lockring-tool and it needs a few links added to the chain to use on my 17 teeth cog.
Looking for a beater track bike size 51 to 53. A bike no one will want to steal but rides well, if that is not asking for too much.
