I'm still on the hunt for a size 54-56 Moser Leader AX and I know there have been some of those floating around here in the past. If anyone has one they'd like to find a new home for, please let me know :)

That frame is stunning! GIVE IT TO ME

That's Öresundsbron (The Bridge) from Sweden to Denmark. I live in Malmö so this is taken from the Swedish side. you're definitely right about the shifters too. I had the handlebars up a little higher earlier and I've got some new tape that I wanted to put on so I'll definitely sort that next.

A couple of snaps from the maiden voyage for this build. Just need to tweak a few things (indexing and brake tension etc.) but it rides super nicely! Definitely turns a few heads too.

It's been grating on me... So to fit the theme I got some black crimps and black cable adjusters. Now we can sleep soundly.

It's just until my crimps arrive in the mail, I promise! I'm just terrified of frayed cables (the tape likely won't even help)...

I did run out of crimps, well spotted!

It's actually a panto'd Moser stem I took from my other bike.

Got my build in shape now. Thanks to those of you on the forum that I bugged with stupid questions!

It's all put together! Only managed to take it down to the corner for a short roll but it feels FAST.

Hello fellow Moser fans. I'm getting the itch to add another frame to the collection and am set on finding at Leader AX since I'm mega jealous of all of you that have your filthy paws on that beaut. Anyone know of a 54-56cm frame/fork combo that someone might be hiding away?

Hi Redman,

I saw that some people have had some luck with carbon friction paste so the tightening force doesn't need to be as high. If you do get a bit too worried, I can just take that frame off your hands :D

It's that time of year where I reach out to see if anyone has a 55cm (ish) AX Leader Frame they're looking to find a new home for.

One can dream.

Starting to throw some of the bits together! Having a little issue fitting the seatpost in though. I think it need to spend a bit of time giving it a thorough clean out.

I was considering Centaur as well until @3c70 mentioned they had an unused Potenza chainset up for grabs! But yeah, all black. Hoping it turns out as slick as it looks in my mind's eye.

I've almost got all the bits ordered and shipped in and am going to start building the thing soon. List as of now:

Bars: Deda Piega (38cm)
Headset: Black Tange Falcon (new)
Stem: Reused black Moser stem from my current bike
Wheels: Prime RR50 v3
Drivetrain: Potenza everywhere
Seat: Fizik Antares
Post: Deda Zero

That's about it! I grabbed a new stem from @zootsuit that I'll polish up and put on my other Moser. @3c70 has been awesome helping with some parts and deliveries as well - thanks man.

@3c70 has been a godsend. Even helping me bundled parts in the UK to send to Sweden. 10/10 would buy again and hopefully I can get over to the UK for a ride and a high-five sometime.

I'm on the lookout for a 100-120mm silver quill stem. Cinelli, 3TTT or some kind of Moser panto would be 10/10. Would also need it posted to Sweden - anyone got a spare lying around?

Looking for a Moser stem to use in an upcoming build. Prefer silver, but could use black too.

I managed to source most of the parts for a Potenza group thanks to some great tips from @3c70 so I'm going to go in that direction.

I've also decided to keep the chrome fork since it's so pretty and I can always make that change later. I just need to source another black quill stem (I have a black Moser panto one on my other bike so I could always borrow that if I found a nice silver quill stem too).

Does anyone have any recommendations for a black, threaded headset for these types of builds? Also, it looks like some folks have managed to fit the Deda Piega handlebars into a quill stem, but I'd be keen for any other handlebar recommendations too.

That was my initial thought too, it would look great with the all black treatment. I was thinking of buying a new Centaur group but they seem to be out of stock everywhere and I'm not a huge fan of the new Shimano look on these frames.

Does anyone have a black Campagnolo group they're willing to part with? Then I just need to figure out what stem to go with...

I have one very standard old Moser from the early 90's with 105 and basically period-correct parts that I don't want to touch. But now, I've got my hands on another frame from the era and I'm looking to build it up with either a modern groupset or something slightly different from the 90's (there's a DA 7700 groupset I might be able to get my hands on). Any tips for a newbie builder like myself?

If I do go the full-black route with newer components, what information do I need to know?
